Portillo's Champaign

We held my fathers 77th birthday party Saturday. My mother called and was informed that we should plan to come in after the lunchtime rush at about 2PM, when we arrived things were winding down and Tim the host approached us and helped us setup for 15 people. He was amazing and made the whole process go so smoothly. I appreciate him and the teams help in making the day so special.

Tim provided my father a hat which he loved. When we arrived home my dad told me he had never had a party at a restaurant like that. We always have his birthday party at home, he was so happy he just kept hugging us. :)

It's a unique experience. The food, the service, and the ambiance are all good and what sets it apart. You've got to try it.

It's pretty good. Portillo hot dogs look different, but the strange toppings surprisingly go well together. Actually it'll be hard to go back to a plain hot dog now that I've had these. The Cake Shake is superthick and a forbidden indulgence. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

From Chicagoland… have had Portillo’s up in the suburbs many many many times. First time having it in Champaign recently.

Ordered the new Rodeo Burger… it was topped with an onion ring and really tangy BBQ sauce! It was SO GOOD!

Fries were also delicious, as usual.

Great drive thru staff. I came in about 30 minutes before close and they were very cool about it and the food was great.

I'm coming from Tennessee and this is exactly the meal I needed after a long drive.

Had to try a local chain when passing through on a road trip. This place was awesome. Great service and generous portions. No one left hungry.

We love Portillo's! Always hard to decide between their Italian beef, cheeseburgers, or salads (especially their seasonal salads). Of course their milkshakes are amazing---and lemon cake!!! Friendly staff who will sometimes bring the rest of the food to the table or clear the table when we have finished eating but are still talking. Helpful with customers who have cognitive or mobility challenges.

Man, the food was good. I'm not a local and this was my first time here. Get a slice of chocolate cake while you're there.

The food was delicious as always! This was my first time dining in and it was wonderful. An employee named Tim brought my food to me (as well as other tables) and made sure I had everything I needed. Overall it was a wonderful experience and the atmosphere was fun too! The spicy chicken sandwich was awesome, so was the chocolate cake shake!

My husband and I were in Champaign, and finally had a chance to try Portillo’s. We enjoyed the food, and found the atmosphere pretty neat. Staff was super friendly as well.

Ordered delivery and got it with the fries hot and crispy. The Italian sausage and beef combo sandwich was good, but I wouldn't say I loved it. The chocolate cake shake was awesome and I will get it again.

My wife and I were sitting outside with our two year old daughter finishing up our food, when she and the kindest employee who was cleaning the patio started waving back and forth to one another. The man ended up bringing ice cream and chocolate cake to our table free of charge. Absolutely made her evening! Thank you for a great memory.

Excellent service. Food was hot and fresh. Tastes just like it does in Chicago. Staff is friendly and clean. The whole restaurant is very clean. The parking lot was also clean and easy to get to. Portillo’s is easy to access from I-74. The Italian Beef is still the best anywhere. I’ll continue to support Portillo’s.

Me and my son went there while we were working out of town our first time for both of us.. service could have been a little more friendly but the food was great and the building and decorations pretty cool...

One of my favorite places to eat. The beef is great, and the onion rings were extremely good (its so hard to find rings done right). You won't be disappointed.

I waited 20 years for this meal. I had no idea there was a Portillo's in Champaign! It was s everything I remember. Thanks for a wonderful meal. Italian beef, dipped, sweet and hot.

Portillo's is amazing, flat out fantastic. Always good food and service. The big beef with sweet or spicy peppers is my happy place, dunked wet and held underwater like it owes you fifty bucks. The wetter the better!

Portillo's is a Chicago favorite that is spreading across the nation. I am so happy with this restaurant in Champaign and the one in Normal, IL. The food is wonderful, the service is reasonably fast considering they are making to order, and atmosphere sings Chicago. Enjoy!!

We're visiting my daughter and decided to come for lunch, everything was ok untill Tim(food runner) came and made our lunch experience GREAT, Tim is excetin customer service.

Portillo’s has Great food for a great price. I drive 50 miles to go to Portillo’s in Champaign. The staff has always been fast, courteous and friendly. The location is great with easy access from the street. I can’t wait to stop again and get another Italian beef or Chicago dog.
