Menards

It feels like Target of the tools and home improvement shops. It looks so nice in here, especially in the Christmas season.
I haven't been to all sections, but the plumbing seems to be small for me. I can't find the connection that I usually buy at Home Depot.
It does have other things that others do not carry.

There was a lot manager that helped us today, Dale, that was super awesome! He was very helpful and what would have taken us a few hours on our own, only took about 20 minutes with his help!

Nice store, great selection, always busy but they usually have multiple checkouts open. It would be nice to see a self checkout someday

This is our favorite home improvement store. I love that there is a little bit of everything including a small grocery and pet section. We love the frequent 11% rebates and the good deals throughout the store year round.

This is best big box store, and I have been to many. Their customer service excels every time, and they help the customer with patience and explain things if asked. Their selection is vast compared to any other store.

Excellent selection and friendly staff. As of March 2018 they are nearly done with a major remodel and store organization.

The big box store that doesn't feel like a big box store. I love this place. Has a very down home vibe compared to all the rest. Great selection, good service and prices. Lumber quality is meh.

I went to Menards to buy a new washing machine. I had purchased a more expensive one from a competitor the prior week, and ended up really hating it. I was going to return it at the competitor and get a different one there, but the horrible service left me bolting that store and trying out Menards appliance department.

The two gentlemen working in Menards appliances were fantastic. I was able to get their attention very quickly. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. I spent $200 less at Menards, and they are delivering the washer tomorrow. We can't wait to start using it. Menards absolutely killed it with their high standard of customer service 💯 and we will be making our future home improvement purchases here. Thanks guys!

The employees are always helpful and nice. We've had an error with a special order once but everyone was very nice and helpful. I think it did take a little longer to get everything sorted out with the special order and to have the restocking fee removed since it was an employee error.

All staff members were friendly and helpful. Menards has a wide selection of products for home projects. We will definitely shop Menards!

Devin R in kitchen cabinets provided outstanding customer service with attention to detail and professionalism. He literally walked me through all the different departments and made sure that my order was correct and complete. He even ensured that billing and delivery were set up and that I would receive the cabinets by the due date. During the ordering process he listened to me and answered all my questions, and stayed within my budget. Of course, I made several changes to the layout during the process, which he handled with patience, good humor and again great attention to detail.

I recently had purchased a 5g bucket of a Pittsburgh paint to use on my interior. After painting, letting it dry and looking at it for a week, I decided that it was simply too light for what I wanted. I returned to the store with the intention of asking the guys at the paint counter to add a little darker tint to the remaining 4g and I would go with that moving forward. We talked through the different colors and bases that I was using and the gentleman at the counter switched me out at no charge. I never asked him to and it was not my intention for him to do so. His customer service was above and beyond and he had me on my way in under 10 minutes. The Champaign Menards is one of my go-to stores for the very reason of their excellent customer service.

Always well stocked with accurate online information. This is important to me as I live 30 miles away. Knowledgeable staff can answer any question you might have. Prices are reasonable and delivery is available for most purchases. Parking is a breeze and flags/string are available for oversized loads.

Still appreciate the quality of service provided at Menards. Allows me to have peace of mind when choosing materials for my projects. Currently flipping a dresser and got all my items in one location. Rebates program has changed slightly, which makes it more interesting but still rather have savings on spot, but oh well.

Picked up a door at contractor pickup. Employees were very careful loading.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my experience at Menards in Champaign, Illinois. I went into the store and seeing a man with his lunch box, putting his jacket on. He had a Menards vest that was visible.Not knowing whether he was coming or going, I asked do you work here? He said yes. I said do you know where plumbing supplies are? He said what do you want? I explained I wanted handicap bars for shower and to get up off the stool. He said I can show you. He left his lunchbox there and helped me with everything I wanted. It took a little time. I said Were you coming to work if leaving. He laughter and said I’m going home now. I apologized and thanked him. He said no problem and begin walking back. I asked his name he said Mark. Calling the store the next day, someone in plumbing said his name is Mark Kirkpatrick. I was so impressed by his kindness and his disregard from my apology saying I don’t mind I do this all the time. He could have said check with someone at the desk, I’m off duty. Such a nice & considerate person. Didn’t even want to accept my apology for delaying him.

I went to Menards today to purchase a ceiling fan/lamp. The young man in the lighting section was so very helpful. I encountered two other store employees before I arrived in that area and both asked if they could help me. I really appreciated that. I didn't get that at Home Depot earlier (in fact it felt like employees went the other way to avoid helping. Also the check-out young man was equally happy to help and direct me to the rebate section to secure the exact form to use. If this is either store or company training, it works, or if they are hiring employees with great work attitudes then that also is evident. Thanks for the great experience and keep it up.

Great store! Was asked if we were good or looking for something in particular by every employee! Excellent service. Jerry in bath/shower is very knowledgeable. Great job to all.
