I can't say enough good things about the Children's Center! Everyone there is so kind and caring and our son is happy and thriving. I highly recommend CCDC to everyone looking for a reliable and nurturing child care.

This daycare provides amazing daily structure, play based learning and an engaging environment for children. The teachers are all so caring and thoughtful. The director and assistant director are also extremely caring and excellent communicators. I would recommend this center to anyone.

Both of our children attend this daycare, and we couldn't be more pleased. You can tell the teachers care about our kids, and do a great job of creating fun/interesting activities for the them to participate in.

All of the staff were helpful when we put our first into daycare - we were "rookie" daycare parents, and those first couple of weeks were tough! We were given advice, support, and ideas to make the transition from our home to daycare as smooth as possible. The staff have also been great about letting us know when our children are ready for different milestones: potty training, interest in reading, etc.

Perhaps our favorite aspect of the Children's Center are the other kids. There is a very diverse group of children for our kids to play with, and plenty of space for all of them to run and play (outside or in the "big room"). From time to time our little ones come home with bumps, bruises, or hurt feelings, but the staff have done a good job of letting us know what's going on.

I've watched my oldest transition from a 2-year old to almost 5 at Children's Center. It's been a joy to see him develop in such a wonderful environment filled with caring people. I often recommend the Children's Center to family and friends, and will continue to do so.

I wasn't sure I'd put my child in daycare...I always envisioned staying home for the first 5+ years. Now that I've realized what direction I want to go with my career in Education, I am thankful to have the Children's Center as an option!
I've had my son in The Children's Center for a year and am SUPER happy with the center on a whole. I love the way they organize their day to include structured activities and free play...and of course, at the lower age rooms, students aren't forced to sit and focus.
I also really appreciate the daily report I receive that includes how much they ate at snacks and lunch, when they were changed or went potty, and how long they napped. There is also space for additional notes, which is used frequently for many things needed.
My son is highly sensitive and I have been impressed and comforted by the ways teachers have respected his needs and provided him the care necessary during certain times. I don't feel like he is ever forced to be anything other than who he is.
The children have many opportunities to play outside or in a 'big room'. The individual rooms also have a number of stations and centers that are exploratory and creative. There are weekly walking trips taken to the library, a special music class option, pool day during the summer, and many events involving families.
Every teacher has been welcoming, kind, and encouraging. My son's current teacher is AMAZING! She accepts the kids as they are, but also sets clear boundaries. This is very important to my husband and me.
The previous review saddens me because the Children's Center has been only positive in my families' lives, as well as the lives of my colleagues and friends who have had their children in the center for years.
I highly recommend The Children's Center! It provides a nurturing, cozy, welcoming, and accepting environment. Above all...it provides a high level of care and security to my son...which carries over into my life as well. Thank you!!

I was a teacher at Children's Center for a almost 2 years. I loved my job and adored the children and parents...but then I started to see what really goes on behind closed doors and nothing was what it seemed. Nothing at all was about the children...the people they employ as educators should be ashamed of themselves. The director, Kathy Patterson, should feel most of this shame because she is completely aware of everything that goes on, but chooses to do nothing about it. Please save your time, money, and most importantly the self-esteem of your child. There is verbal, and yes, physical abuse that goes on there. Take the word of someone who knows what goes on the moment you say bye to your child(ren). Choose another daycare provider,

Do not take your children here. Child abuse both physical and verbal is overlooked. Think twice before leaving your kids.
