The Idea Store

Goodwill, but for crafts. I would have cried and begged to go here as a kid.

It's full of art items and odds and ends, cool papers, paints, craft kits, stickers, tiles, markers, yarn, thread, fabric, photo frames, old posters, greeting cards, pencil grippers, old trophies, holiday stuff, pins, magnets, photo negatives, old postcards, pictures, colored paper and letter paper they sell by the pound and you choose the papers you like!

It's super fun to see what's available!

Reasonably priced with a lot of unique stuff :) Especially loved the glass plate negatives

The most random odds and ends for ridiculously cheap prices. I could spend hours here just browsing. It's an odd mix somewhere between a Goodwill, antique store, and craft store. Everything from random second-hand trophies, to school/teaching supplies, to small bits of hardware.

They sell things you cannot imagine a store would sell like a barrel of empty coffee cans. Or if you bought a rummage sale scrabble game and it's missing some tiles. I GUARANTEE you you'll find replacements at the Idea Store! And they request all shoppers wear a mask. They offer free mask before you enter the store.

Funny enough, creating The Idea Store was a great idea! It was very interesting to see everything they sell. I would definitely revisit them!

Love love love. There's a similar store in my hometown which is one of my favorite stores on the planet, and I'm disappointed I didn't find the Idea Store sooner. They've got a little bit of everything, and if you need anything for an art project, or supplies and don't mind them being used, this is the place to go. You'll always find something cool and unique, and at a great price. Plus, creative reuse stores like this are keeping things out of landfills and that's always a great cause

Awesome place and super useful for crafting projects that you aren't ready to fully commit to. I wish every city had one of these.

Great thrifty store to find a whole bunch of different knick knacks, odds and ends, craft supplies and a variety of different things for crafts and projects and ....ideas ..The Idea store is a perfect name. Ill walk in with nothing in mind and just look around at what they have and then gain ideas from what's on the shelves.

Best place to shop for art supplies in all forms, pens, to beads, to maps, to fabric and yarn! Absolutely love this place!

This store has the greatest and cheapest selection of crafting materials I have ever seen! From paints to photographs to fabrics, this store has it all. They frequently put out donated items on the floor so every time you visit there is something new. I love this store and come here frequently whenever I am in the mall!

It has wonderful prices and stuff you could have never imagined in a craft store. I think it is a great place to go to and find stuff you're looking for. Although it's uncommon to find exactly what you're looking for, I think it's a great store overall.

So many ideas. So many treasures. So little time. I love this place. It's conveniently located in Lincoln Square mall 7days a week. The staff was kind enough to offer masks to us. They were super nice and knew so much about tuneup inventory. Look forward to shopping Again soon

Love love love this store!! I literally walk around and let the ideas come to me. There's almost always a great solution to my projects here. And I love having a place for all my extra creative things to go. Such a fantastic store to support. I wish there were more stores like this around the world.

This is a must stop when in the area. So many fun unique things. An amazing store to either fuel your creativity or stop to grab your supplies for your next project. You name it, they've probably got it. Amazing prices! Friendly staff. I'll be back when I'm in town!
