Athletico Physical Therapy - Urbana

I ended up here because Carle Physical Therapy was out of my network. That was the best thing to happen to me! ALL of the staff are personable, kind, and cheerful. I enjoyed our conversations while they relentlessly gave me the care and attention I needed for my injury. 100% would recommend!

Trevor and Jenni was awesome and amazing. They both supported me with my shoulder and arm injuries and getting my strength and grip back in my left hand. The whole staff is really nice and kind . They made me feel welcomed and encouraged me when I was having a bad day and was hurting. I highly recommend this therapy service.

I had a great time doing my physical therapy here at this location! Trevor and Jenni always supported me through my hip replacement journey and gave me great tips and exercises to do at home. The location is very clean and they have lots of equipment for different kinds of exercises. Today I graduated from physical therapy and they gave me a fun pair of orange glasses — matching with the fighting Illini! If I ever need to come back in the future, I will be sure to come to this location!😃

As a senior citizen, one who’d been told by doctors that there was nothing they could do to help with the debilitating pain in my foot and thigh - I was nervous, wondering how I would be treated.
It was very easy to set up my first appointment. When I walked thru the door I was welcomed. You can tell when a business has a great working environment by the way the staff, students and trained, interact. How comfortable they are with each other, how they work in concert. When this happens, every client benefits from the group knowledge. It’s a pleasant place to be, even though you’re working very hard. I’ve made excellent progress - my ability to walk and hike has improved greatly. I’m actually stronger than I’ve been for years.

I'm a huge fan of Trevor & Jenni. They made physical therapy fun (and educational) while helping my pain. The whole staff was warm, welcoming, KNOWLEDABLE, and helpful. A little shout-out to the interns/externs - they were very helpful in guiding the exercises and I wish them the best in their studies. Thanks again to all the smart people at Athletico Urbana who helped me heal!

Three things make this place stand out.
1. Customer Service: I could not make it serveral times. They were always considerate of my schedule and sent me reminders when my appointments were coming up.
2. Professionalism: They were ready and attentive the entire time I was at the facility. Whether it was conversing with me about the pains in my leg and how to work on it or talking about my day, they were in the moment and knew what they were talking about.
3. Knowledge: They know what they are talking about and work to set a path for your recovery. I was able to iceskate yesterday without pain and played soccer last week. This is big win for me since previously my hip to leg was having random pains for the last six months.

The staff here was really good and helped me through my recovery of my broken foot. They helped me schedule appointments at times that are convenient for me, worked with me at a pace that wasn't painful, and helped me "graduate" at the earliest. This was my first time using physical therapy and they have set a high bar!

Many medical settings I have been in the past have left me feeling like a number on a page and not like a person. This is nothing like the experience at Athletico. Every staff member I have interacted with seems that they personally care about my experience and recovery and I look forward to going to therapy every week.

I visited Athletico for lumbar pain issues for about 2 months, and the reduction in pain and increased flexibility over that time was incredible. Every member of the staff was caring and resourceful. It was always a joy to attend my sessions. Trevor and Jenni were excellent therapists, and always had very useful explanations on the source of issues, what activities could help in my therapy sessions, and what activities I could take home to work on recovery in my own time. I found it much easier to discuss pain, recovery, and physical motion in general with the staff here than I had previously found it with other therapists. Their way of communicating about exercise and stretching was comprehensible and realistic, which helped me stay motivated in my recovery.

They are without a doubt the best in UC area. Trevor knows his stuff in and out and is very patient. He helped with SI joint related problem and throughout the process he suggested me exercises and based on my feedback gave me more focused view of what the problem was.

The whole is very friendly and makes feel at home.

I went through two stints with Athletico in Urbana. Marcus was not only a knowledgeable Therapist, but also motivational and easy to speak with.
From the person that greets you at the door to the Therapists to the support staff, it is a very welcoming and friendly place to go for therapy.
The facility is always clean and it has a great amount of room and equipment to handle all sorts of treatment.

I went to Athletico to deal with pain in my hip in advance of running a marathon. Trevor and the other other staff at the Urbana Athletico were instrumental in getting my 67 year old body healed and ready for the race which I completed with no pain in my hip. The expertise and kindness shown by Athletico were awesome. Many thanks to them for their part in my success!!

The staff here are awesome. I didn't know what to expect going into physical therapy, but I found myself genuinely looking forward to going each week. Trevor, Jenny, and everyone else there were always great to talk to and clearly cared about my recovery. I would highly recommend this Athletico to anyone.

Over the last six months after my injury, Jennifer and Trevor both were very professional and personal to my needs towards my recovery. They were always in direct contact with my doctor regarding my progress and making adjustments as needed. The staff are so involved in my care that they have become a second family that genuinely expressed that personal touch towards my personal well-being. I expressly recommend seeking the team out for your needs.

The staff are always helpful and sociable, even in a way that works for introverts. I had to get PT sessions quickly so I could return to work. They were able to get me scheduled quickly and their work with me was very helpful. Before I came in I was at a point where I was limping and couldn't do basic things, and now after a few months I'm near back to normal, and stronger in some ways. You'll definitely get good results from this place.

The staff here really cares about my recovery, and has been working with me always to help me manage my back pain, and figure out what's going on. They really put patient needs first when it comes to deal with insurance companies. And they are incredibly friendly- Kaitlyn, Trevor, Jenny, Norman, Raj especially because I've gotten to know them all over a lot of sessions over the past months, but this goes for everyone who works at this facility. The vibe is always so good, and I look forward to coming here and having banter with other patients & the staff. And if it weren't for these stretches and the involvement in my care, my sciatic pain would be much worse.

I was having trouble with pain in my hips. My husband was doing physical therapy with Jenny & Trevor so he referred me to them. Trevor did my consultation and showed me several stretches and strengthening exercises to help. He made sure I could do them and understood why I was doing those in particular. I have been doing them for a while now and have not had any issues at all since seeing Trevor!!
I feel amazing!! No pain anymore at all.

Trevor was great at identifying why my knee was in pain and gave me some exercises that helped reduce the pain. I am currently doing these exercises regularly and it has been working.

I can truly and honestly say that when I came in the facility on my first day of physical therapy I did not know what to suspect. As time progressed I found that the people here at this facility specifically Jenni, Trevor, kaytlyn, and Norman genuinely care about your recovery and people. I want to say thank you so much to the Athletico team. I thought this was not going to be as enjoyable as it was but they really helped me and encouraged me through this road to recovery. I can’t speak highly enough about this group and hope to find many others who care about the profession they work everyday as much as this team

Athletico Physical Therapy is AMAZING!! Friendly staff, wonderful accommodating service really helped me get on my feet after a running injury. Trevor and Jenny not only gave great therapy sessions and achievable goals to work towards at home, but they made sure to educate about the why and how of the body mechanics that went into the treatment. I had a great long run this morning and I really want to say thank you!!!
