Best dorm on campus

The main advantage of this place is that it is close to the engineering quad. If you are in grainger college, staying at this place is very convenient.

However, there are many issues with the operations of things. There is a small paltry kitchen that is meant to service thousands of students, if you wish to make your own meal.

There is also a very beautiful courtyard in the middle of ISR, but is blocked to students 24/7, except for one day before finals when the RAs host a block party. I am very perplexed as to why this is the case, and certainly would have liked the chance to touch grass and gaze the sky without having to walk 15minutes to the quad every time.

There are also lounges on each floor, which are good places to study at. However, they lock it up during breaks, and when the break ends they don’t reopen it again, for reasons not explained to us. It definitely was not being used for anything else then, but yet it was locked from all the students.

The dining hall has good days and bad days. The dining hall tries very hard at making unique dishes like “award-winning lasagna”, and does not make it very well, when they could just focus on getting the basics done right, such as fried rice, more often. I personally like the music playlists a lot, but could be switched up a lot more to keep the music from getting stale.

There is also a space reserved for a library, with an interesting collection, but closes before 5pm, which means the only students who would have the pleasure of visiting it regularly are people doing 12 or 13 credit hours with multiple geneds.

There is terrabytes, and it is a very convenient place to grab breakfast or a late night snack. They also sell a lot of snacks and drinks which is handy if you live nearby.

It is genuinely a nice place to live, but has many flaws that certainly have easy fixes.

Food sucks, showers suck, bathrooms suck, overpriced, don't live here.

Literally not even built yet. It's like sleeping on a pile of bricks. Would never sleep out here again. -1/10

The cockroaches are really friendly!
