El Alegre Burrito

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. I've been a consistent customer for the last 7 years at least. Any time someone recommends we go out to lunch to a different Mexican place, I'm immediately disappointed, because I know it's not going to be as good. The pastor meat is my favorite - on the burritos especially. Highly recommend.

Every time I go here the food is amazing. Quality Mexican dishes for a good price. In the summer there is seating in a small courtyard outside with about four tables. You can order ahead and pick up when ready, but they don't deliver. It's a great location I'm surprised it isn't busier!

This is one of those "wholes in the wall" that serves great food at a low price. My wife and I have here for tacos and they're BIG and well worth the price. A featured dish to try as well is their 'Sopa Azteca' - a definite cold remedy.

Hole in the wall joint where anything Al Pastor is 🔥. Great salsa. They also have a nice patio seating in the back for those sunny days.

The Chimichanga Suiza dinner (#7) is my favorite dinner there. Their menu isn't online and the pictures are hard to come by, so I've uploaded one. I love coming here! Out of all the times I've been to pickup food, I noticed yesterday that they have a nice outdoor patio!

These folks are always working so hard to get us taken care of. Really enjoy going in and talking to the young lady at the register. They always pay attention to how you ask for your food and never have I had a bad experience there. Really gonna miss this place once we move out of state.

This place got good tacos and burritos

I've seen this place in passing going to get pizza next door or going to the store. You'll miss it if you don't pay attention it's literally a small little hole in the wall place. I got steak tacos and pastor with rice water. Let me tell you from the moment I walked in a was blown away how nice it is for being so small. The lady at the counter was so polite. It was a awesome experience it looks like they have alittle sit down area as well outside and you can sit inside it's limited but was nice. Food was delicious when I got it home o I almost forgot they had tamales!! Very reasonable price for food and awesome experience. I will be back for dinner another day.

Good tasting tacos and great customer service

Great food - steak torta was spot on! Wife had the chorizo, steak and al pastor tacos - bomb! Didn’t dine in due to covid but seems like a decent spot to eat at. Will continue to come.

Great authentic Mexican food. The specials are always reasonable and the service is always quick and friendly. Recommend the Azteca soup and taco specials when available. Only small gripe is they need a faster credit machine.

Hidden gem. I’ve been coming here for more than a decade. The woman that works the register is the sweetest person.

Justifiably popular place. Menu selection is large, anything you select will be delicious. Everything done fresh and fast, much emphasis on healthy ingredients, and the lunch and dinner specials are complete meals. Friendly service, happy clientele, dine in or take out, you will be coming back for sure.

No dine in with Covid but the burritos are still great. You can call in early and the food will be ready. 3 people allowed in hallway at once. So there can be a short line. The chili relleno taco is really worth having!

I've been here a few times now, it's a small hole in the wall type place, but the tacos al pastor are done if the better ones I've had in the Chicagoland area. Friendly service too.

Good food. Great prices. If you have a taste for a burrito/ go with the chicken, they season it very well!
