Salsa Street Mexican Restaurant and Cantina

Excellent margaritas and every entree I’ve tried so far has been fantastic! Great chips and guacamole too. I love ordering directly from them because they are fast and offer nice deals!

Barbacoa tacos and the unique Cubano taco were flavor highlights. The creamy chicken and pastor tacos were fine but we enjoyed the barbacoa and Cubano more. Burritos were huge and heavy. They forgot my fries but proactively issued a refund to my GrubHub order which was nice too.

Ran in for a quick meal before a movie across the street, and was excitingly surprised! We each had the three taco platter and were able to choose three out of there maybe dozen tacos. I had the tilapia, barbacoa and the chorizo/steak. Each was excellent! And the side of cilantro rice was very, very good. Absolutely will go back especially when I can try some of their signature cocktails.

We sat outside. Enjoyed our cocktail on a 72 degrees evening on their patio.
Dinner for me was Crunchy shrimp gourmet tacos. They were delicious!
My husband had a chimachanga and he enjoyed his dinner as well. The waitress was sweet, service was quick.

My husband and I stopped here on our quick stop into Elgin for then night. We each chose three different street tacos - they were all delicious! The salsa verde was so yummy with our chips before the meal came out. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick delicious dinner!

The bartender is very nice. Taco's are Good and Filling. It's a Bonus sitting out side. Best Mexican restaurant around. And we'll be back.

Good food, very good selections. I'm vegetarian and had multiple choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. They also have an excellent collection of tequilas and great mixed drinks. If gourmet street tacos are what you are looking for, this is the spot for the area.

This place is a hidden gem. 20 taco options and haven't had a bad one. Great specials and attentive staff.

The service was great. Carmina was fiesty and fun, often joking with our large group from the office. I had a raspberry mojito and it was perfect. I heard lots of comments that people were happy with their meals and that is not always easy with a large group. The chips and salsa are delicious.

Food is always good and service was quick. we get the steak dinner and feeds 3 of us!

Very flavorful, fresh, and variety of options. Tacos were delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking about them. Don't forget to order fried ice cream for dessert!!

Everything on the menu looks super delish. I had the steak asada. Absolutely yummy 😛 need a really spicy salsa? Ask for the habańero salsa. The michelada is outstanding! That tamarindo straw so so good 😋 I'll definitely be back.

First time here. Super picky...wow! Braised chx was amazing as was the Mexican pot roast tacos. Service was top-notch and price point great! Check out happy hour specials. Highly recommend spicey margarita. High quality product, beat decor.

This restaurant is amazing! I had lunch in this restaurant. I only ordered their big salsa street steak burrito and it was so delicious! I now know why it is called "the big salsa street burrito" because it was literally big. I was really surprised when the food was served to me because the burrito was so huge. It was also fresh and hot. Every single ingredient in it was fresh. Every single ingredient also complements the burrito, and it tastes really delicious. It was huge, and there was also a generous portion of every single ingredient, especially the steak. The burrito alone literally made me full and very satisfied. I really love their burritos. It was not only delicious but also well-priced. Their prices are generally fair and reasonable. I also had their mimosa and it was as good as the burrito. The service here is friendly, welcoming, and fast. They have a menu with a variety of options too. The restaurant is also super nice. It is clean and bright. The ambiance was perfect. It is something really casual and comforting at the same time. I only had the burrito and the mimosa, and both were delicious. I am curious about the other foods on their menu, so I will definitely be back. This restaurant deserves to be recommended to my family and friends.

Lots of great tacos to choose from and delicious margaritas, too! In the warmer months, we also enjoy sitting on their outdoor patio.
