The New Chalet Restaurant

I think this is my only perfect review. This restaurant is amazing, it is a breakfast place and they do close at 1pm. Which is a TAD bit of a bummer. The food is always delicious and comes quickly, service is always 10/10.
I love this specific restaurant because of one of the waitresses, she's waited on FOUR generations (possibly 5) of my family, she's seen my mother and ny grandmother grow up, and she's seen me grow up. I don't even know if she realizes who I am, but she's so polite, a treasure, and she always has on the MOST beautiful jewelry sets!
If you pick this restaurant, be prepared to make it your favorite, between the food, the atmosphere, and the staff you'll never want to leave. And if you want a good soup recommendation, get the beef and vegetables it's absolutely DIVINE!
(Plus the bathrooms are clean and always have TP)

Classic diner with quick service and great breakfast. We will be back.

Quick service, friendly staff, good food, and good prices. This may become a regular spot for a late breakfast after hunting the state parks. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette and biscuits and gravy. Both were delicious.

Very good food and the staff are super friendly. I had stuffed pepper soup which was the best I’ve ever had. The hot turkey plate was also very good. A bit salty on the gravy but besides that it was like a great home cooked meal. This was my first time but I will definitely be back, can’t wait to try their breakfast.

I've eaten at the New Chalet most of my life with loved ones, and the staff bring fabulous food and service to the table time and again. The restaurant often employs young people in the community and regularly features artwork by local students (super awesome). The New Chalet is my favorite local watering hole, and I always look forward to stopping by. Thank you Cheryl and team for another great meal :)

The interior is a bit worn but well maintained. The New Chalet gives you typical diner fair with fast friendly service.

We eat breakfast there often. Its nothing fancy, just a good place to get a tasty breakfast and the staff are always friendly.

We just happened upon this place, decided to stop in because it looked like the old style family restaurant. That's exactly what it was. The food was great, the staff was wonderful! Will definitely go back again!

Great food reasonable price and great atmosphere. Only open for breakfast and lunch.

A quaint diner-style menu with plenty of home cooked favorites like omelettes, pancakes, and hamburgers. There are plenty of options for picky palates of little ones as well. :) The restaurant was packed but our party of 6 was seated quickly and service was fast. If in the area again, would definitely return to try another selection.

I like to judge a restaurant by how many in the group enjoy their meal. This place consistently provides great food for all. Even my 4 yr old grandchild cleaned her plate during this visit!

New Chalet breakfast is the best. I don't know why their eggs are better than any other eggs. They also have delicious hashbrowns. My husband loves the burger with the egg on top.

We've gone there for 10 plus years. Love the food. And the waitresses are nice. We have a few favorite ones, that we've grown close to.

This restaurant is new to us, and we have come here several times in 2021 and always had a great hot breakfast and fast pleasant service.

One of my favorite places to eat in Ottawa, food was really really good , service was okay, atmosphere was okay. The highlight is the food. Definitely will come back here.

This is a true place of warm small town community and equally tastey food! All the dishes are the best and the staff are all so kind and respectful and treat uou like family.
