I could go on and on about how great the food is, but what really sets them apart is the service. Every person that I've run into appears to genuinely like working there. Just makes for an overall enjoyable experience and obvious that the owners treat them well. And the patrons benefit from that. So happy to have them in the neighborhood.

The bread and beet appetizer was a major disappointment. We almost called it a day after we tried to pick at it. It was terribly dry, and the rest of the app had zero flavor, but we decided we might as well try a main course to give it a fair chance, so my husband and I both split their Special of the Day and wow. We were absolutely blown away. I still dream of these steak medallions and gnocchi.

Truly one of the best dishes I've had in STL.
Their strawberry shortcake dessert was alright, but if you can get the medallion steak . . . 😘👌🏼

The food was really good!
The service was perfect: not always there but there when you need them.
We had a big filling meal and some to-go.
Was going to take pictures but it was so good it disappeared before I could.

We've passed this place so many times and were so excited to give it a shot. It did not disappoint! We thought it was a barbecue restaurant, and it isn't. At all. But they had some tasty food that was presented with care. The server would not let me get too low on water--he was on top of it!

My partner and I shared some brisket ravioli, which came with marinara and green goddess dressing for dipping. I couldn't choose which I preferred. My partner ordered the salmon with bamboo rice, artichoke hearts, and chili glaze. It was delicious and he really enjoyed it. My grilled chicken sandwich was so good. The shredded carrots on top were unexpectedly yummy.

My only complaint is how awful the outdoor patio tables are. There's nowhere to put your legs without bumping up against the wrought iron. It's so minor, though, and we'll just eat inside from now on. All in all, highly recommend this place!

Such a cool place. Staff was amazing and so fun to visit with. It’s an interesting mix of food. I got brisket toasted ravioli with the red and green sauce as an appetizer. I got the smoked pork tenderloin for my main meal. They are seasonal meals. Wonderful experience. I also had the blackberry old fashion and was impressed.

This was my first date with my lady and it was a excellent choice! The food was gorgeous and tasty fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the red snapper and my lady had the toasted ravioli. Our server Tabby was very attentive and extremely pleasant. The whole experience was wonderful. The setting was very interesting as it use to be an old service station with fresh flowers on the tables and great air con and outdoor heating. I will definitely be going back again as the menu had many more delicious looking items to be tasted. Highly recommended!!!

Lori was amazing. Love the setup of the restaurant. It's also nice they have tvs. We were able to keep our toddler entertained and get some delicious food. The blues burger was perfect, cooked exactly to the medium I requested. Get a side of parm fries if you get a chance! Mai tai was just strong enough. Love the atmosphere - comfy and homey and great food options. Ask for the specials - the meatloaf was moist, yummy potatoes and green beans even my toddler loved. They're also great for pickup.

Pit Stop is amazing!!! I have resided in the city for years and currently live near by. Somehow I didn’t go there in the past.

Today my foodie buddy and I found this gem by searching fish near me. We both had Red Snapper and it was delicious!!! It’s hard to find at restaurants nowadays because it has been replaced with tilapia.🤢

The menu is very appealing and has a variety of foods, but isn’t too large of a menu.

There are a lot of in house made foods, desserts, and marmalades. We started with the cheese board which is one of the best I’ve had in StL, ordered Red Snapper as our entrees, and had to share a very moist (better than my homemade) carrot cake!!!

The service was on point and the staff is very friendly.

My friend and I personally met Chef Carlos and he told us about his amazing food in detail. What a great guy and good conversation.

My friend and I are going back for ribs next week! 😋

I highly recommend Pit Stop!!!

I am adding to this review. My friend and I will become regulars and I added more photos from my third visit in one week. What more can I say? Well, yummy!!!

A very small, casual and comfortable spot on The Hill. Server was personable, accommodating and timely. Cocktails were well-crafted. Appetizers and entres were wonderful! Dessert selection was varied and appealing, but we were too full to partake. Next time!

Fantastic restaurant in Italy Hill. We drove in from Dallas and after a long road trip this “Pit Stop” was just what we needed. The Toasted Ravioli hit the spot and we got a special with Coconut Shrimp on risotto. And a special thanks to Shelly for making our dinner especially wonderful. Thanks!

Really enjoyed the beef medallions wrapped in bacon that comes with sweet potato mash. Service was really great and it’s a neat Italian area called The Hill. Highly recommended.

AMAZING! Cannot recommend enough. The flavors in all the dishes are so balanced, the wait staff’s super friendly and fun, and the small pub atmosphere can’t be beat. 10/10!!!!

Went for the taco week special and really enjoyed this place. Incredible wait staff and food was exceptional. Don’t be put off by the name! Yummy and fast.

Returned and food was once again excellent. Service was great.

South Saint Louis.

I was a bit hesitant at first because the setting clashed with the type and price of food but when the food came out I knew I was in love. The smell was mesmerizing and the taste, enchanting. I still think the food is a little too nice for the venue but I’m not gonna complain. I’ll still give this a 5/5.

Fantastic, flavorful food. Entrees were large and made to order. All our special requests were done perfectly. Excellent service from Leigh.
And don't miss the flourless chocolate torte.

We actually dropped in to just see the menu as we had a bit of dinner just before that. About 2 years we came here with some others and the meal I had was wonderful! I ordered the vegetarian meal. It was unique and delicious!

I cannot remember what the others had, but all thought it was really good.

So, upon seeing their menu, we ended up sharing their small salads just to get an idea of these. Again, we loved the salads, dressings and all the fixings.

Also the staff was great and worked with my wife who has to be gluten free.

All I know is, we will be back with our friends. The place is an old gas station and is rather cute and not your standard walk in restaurant.

We also loved eating outside and watched the local neighborhood folks walking and enjoying the area of The Hill.

You will love their food!

Awesome service. The food is amazing. Definitely recommend the brisket ravioli with green goddess dressing. The rib appetizer is so tender and covered in a sauce that makes you want more. The pasta was hot and filled with such flavor I didn't want to stop. If you are in the mood for fried chicken, look no further Always served piping hot. The carrot cake dessert is a must have. A perfect way to end your meal.

Cozy spot with tasty eats. The crispy chicken sandwich was fresh and elevated with the green goddess sauce. Fries were delightful. Excited to come back!
