A wonderful tour of the 1800's. Specifically, the inventions of John Harvey Kellogg. As well as the early history of the ministry & formation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Did I mention it is free? Though donations are appreciated.

Interested in history And how health reform progressed in America? Want to know about one of the greatest cereal makers ever known? Interested in How the Seventh Day Adventist church combined health reform with religion? Then you should definitely come here and get some of everything. The tour guide was very informal and friendly and let us take lots of pictures and try some of the exhibits. It's like a tiny science center for health with all of the interactive exhibits.

Wow what a wonderful time we had. Our study group decided to take a field trip to see Adventist Village. It was a beautiful day we ate lunch on picnic tables and went on our tour. The tour was free, and they had volunteers that dressed up in the time period of the late 1800s. They gave tours of all the different buildings and the history that came from them. I would highly recommend calling ahead and scheduling a free tour to see this historic place, you will enjoy it!

Very friendly staff and very knowledgeable about the people who lived in the area back in the 1800s. Place is open to the public to visit freely and tours are also free, they take donations to help maintain the place to preserve the last bit of history in this city.
You do not need to be part of the seventh day adventist church or be religious to visit, but you will need good shoes for the walking around the compound.

This is a historical landmark village that's a must visit for all. There is a lot that happened here which has had a great impact in the advancement of the Gospel, education, healthcare, medicine, food and many other areas. God has truly worked in this place and used those pioneers to spread the gospel and develop technology that was ahead of their time. God bless all the employees of the Historic Adventist Village for their continued efforts in the upkeep of this treasured village.

It’s a nice collection of historical buildings. It’d have to be part of a larger tour experience to justify coming here from afar though.
