Sunrise Cafe

My buddy introduced me to Sunrise Cafe the summer of 2023....I have met up with others there at least 7 times in the following 6 months! The breakfasts look fabulous, never eaten that there, though. Even at 7:00am I always order the Rita Burger or the Mushroom & Swiss burger. Best burgers in SW Michigan!
Kristina always keeps the coffee mugs full, too.

Coffee is freshly ground coffee beans which is delicious and served in cute cups. Cute 50s Coca-Cola decor. You can eat lunch or breakfast all day which is awesome. Highly recommend the brisket breakfast sandwich with maple syrup, the bacon cheeseburger, and the French toast. No pictures of the food as it was delicious and eaten long before a picture could be taken.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Sunrise Cafe today. We highly recommend it. You get large portions of amazingly flavored foods. The staff are super friendly. You can tell the employees enjoy working there also. 5 🌟

Must try the hangover skillet. Its delicious, its bigger than a head, its amazing! The mac and cheese was award winning and delicious as well. The prices are very reasonable for the gigantic portion of food!

Happened to be in town for the day and found this hidden treasure! Excellent food, excellent service and FAST too! If I'm ever in town again, will definitely visit.

Amazing experiance. I was blown away by the quality of the Sunrise Cafe. The booths, table and food is all top notch. Sam and his team provide best in class service. If you are looking for quality food and a comfortable atmosphere look no further. Sunrise Cafe is a hidden treasure in Battle Creek, although my guess is not for long. Great job Sunrise

On the 1st Saturday morning of October I had the opportunity to have breakfast with a neighbor. We went to Sunrise Cafe. This is a hidden gem for a meal.
At 7 in the morning parking was easy. There was no wait. The Cafe was lively and bright. The sounds of people talking over a shared meal were not too loud, it was not noisy, people were awake and the business was a reflection of that. This is a small place with no feeling of crowded.
"Would you like a table or a booth? Are you expecting anyone else this morning?" As easy as that we were seated in a corner booth. Staff was engaging and ready to serve.
My neighbor and I had a good time eating breakfast and talking. The food was good. Staff was good. Our entire experience was pleasant in this quaint, hidden gem restaurant.
And best of all, we left the kids at home.
Thanks for a lovely experience. This month my girlfriend is going to come along also.

I eat here at least once a week. The white. Cheddar Mac with burnt ends and the steak sandwich are to die for!

Did I mention the cooks and waitresses are absolutely amazing as well!

Hubs and I had a late breakfast there today, first time. Reminiscent of the little one room diners of the 60's and 70's. Food was much better than those, however. Service was great, too. There was food enuf for a farm hand without being wasteful, and it was all delicious. Something tells me there's often a line of hungry people for it.

Stopped in with a friend for a quick breakfast. Luckily, we hit at a lull. Full choice breakfast menu, lots of specials. A bit pricier than the last I visited here, but inflation takes a toll! Coffee was hot, fresh and generous. 1/2 order biscuits & gravy plus 2 eggs was very ample, as was Bren's Breakfast sandwich. We both left happy, planning on a return visit to try their lunches!

Best "mom and pop" restaurant! It's a bit crowded but it's tucked into a corner off a main street. Big plates for the prices and filling.

Great little out of the way place. New owner seems to really care about his customers.

UPDATE: Went this morning for a nice quick and quiet breakfast and music was bumping.
I knew what I wanted but I had a difficult time keeping my waiters attention, as if he was focused more on his phone than his customers.
I ate fast, paid and then left.
I'm not trying to be in the club at 630 am.

So glad to have a local breakfast spot! Great food, great service, great portions. Thank you for all you do in our community.

Food is phenomenal. Staff is very friendly. Prices are lower than most places compared to what you get. Will be going back very soon.

Best breakfast in town!! Everything is fresh home made and delicious. The place is usually packed when we go for Sunday breakfast. Highly recommend.

This was the best choice for us for breakfast in Battle Creek, Michigan. We enjoyed it, the food was delicious and the atmosphere we felt like at home. We are definitely coming back.

Oh, how I wish I lived closer! I'd make this a regular destination. Staff is polite, fact check , staff and guests are all in a cozy little place. Guess that's the charm.

Food is always good. It is a small store in a remote location that sometimes gets a little over crowded. However, this restaurant is sensational in every standard.

Definitely grab a side of their burnt end mac n cheese

Our favorite restaurant for breakfast, The “meat lovers omelette” is good.
Is always an excellent service, Sam and George the best cooks.
