Lakeview Kiwanis Outdoor Center

Great place! If you want to run, or jog or look for a bog, try and find a frog, or contemplate life as you sit on a log, or keep it simple and just walk your dog; this is a good place for most of those things.

I love this place! I wish we knew what it was and who it was for earlier! We lived down the road for a couple years thinking it was private land used by Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts. I realized one day when I stopped by to read, it was an open park. I do have one question, is it still open when the barrier is out?

Great disc golf course for every player. Short and long tee pads. Beautiful place. Hope to play it in calmer conditions soon

What a treasure for our community! Love this place. You can stay on the dirt road, go up and down hills and paths through the woods, or go out and around a huge open field surrounded by woods. Or…as my dog prefers…do all three in one trip. And the best part is, it’s so big you rarely run into others so you feel like it’s your own private land. Thank you Kiwanis members, for giving us this beautiful outdoor experience.

It's a beautiful course .

Great for walks, hiking and frisbee golfing. I recommend to everyone and anyone that loves nature and the great outdoors . 6 stars if I could!

Review solely on Disc Golf:

A wonderful gem to play longs or shorts. Very beginner friendly. Wooded and a couple meadow style holes. Amazing technicality for a "pitch n putt" course.
Most holes are ace runs. So have at it!

Make sure to park at the entrance, and walk down the dirt road a bit, it's faster than parking at the event parking in my opinion.

Also, download the uDisc app,free, and search the course so you have a layout plan..some holes can be tricky to navigate for first timers.

The Kiwanis of Urbandale-Lakeview (Battle Creek) are developing a Disk Golf course at our outdoors center on Minges- Sonoma Lake Rd.
This Saturday, 29 May 2023 will your first day trial run - all are invited to play or just check it out.

Nice place to hang out in nature. New disc golf course going in that looks pretty good.
