We took a train enthusiast here for his birthday. Not only did we just adore the surroundings, but the food was outstanding. I ordered the roast turkey. The birthday boy ordered the salmon on a cedar plank. Others ordered breakfast or sandwiches. The desserts were incredible...so hard to choose! The staff were so friendly and we just adored the model train and our education from a very special boy named Hunter. We'll definitely return.

We stopped for brunch for mom's 72nd birthday ♡ the food was delicious and the portions are large. Cake was given to her complimentary for the occasion. Highly HIGHLY recommend the Vienna torte for dessert or any special time.

Excellent avocado toast we had a scramble too and classic breakfast. A notch above the usual breakfast fare. The bakery case is a don’t miss as well. Friendly service.

This is a neat historical place to eat. Their staff was fantastic about my dietary restrictions. They have the best gluten free bread I have ever eaten. Their salads are huge. Portions are fantastic. They have a great town mock up out of miniature railroad models. The place is an old converted train station. I loved the entrance has a wheelchair accessible ramp. The door is not automatic so a person in a wheelchair may have to work to get the door open, but I was happy to see at least some inclusivity. Worth a visit if you are ever in the area.

The food was quite good everything was delicious. The cake was decent. Staff was really friendly they were slow so I kind of felt like we were bothering them but they insisted we weren't. It was so good I suggest going there. We had the rib ends with french fries the eggs Benedict Junior French toast and the Caesar wrap.

Cute spot in Oconomowoc. Breakfast options are great and include some gluten-free crepes that are worth getting even if you eat gluten. Portions are pretty big. I recommend the cheese curds and the sandwiches if you want lunch and dinner food. The curds are so good.

The ribs were moist and flavourful and as delicious as you could ever hope ribs to be . They were so tender they just fell off the bone. The Spring vegetables were prepared to perfection and the mashed potatoes were as good as your mom would ever make them . The roast turkey dinner seemed like it was prepared for Thanksgiving. Is the sliced turkey brass delicious Dressing in cranberry sauce . This was all really good delicious comfort food that I can highly recommend. So much food we didn't have room for dessert so dessert so we just bought it and brought it home to enjoy. Is to top it off the atmosphere with a real experience in this 19th century stone train depot. This is my new favorite place to go and enjoy whenever I visit Wisconsin

Unique - It's a laid back casual family friendly restaurant. We both had the baked salmon and it was GREAT. The decor is decked out with old train signs and actually has active trains that come by right next to the restaurant windows - not something I was expecting so it caught me off guard. We ended up taking two deserts home and they were also great. Definitely recommend. Service is very friendly.

In my quest to find the worlds best biscuits and gravy, spanning across 4 different countries on two different continents. This is by far the one to beat. The gravy is a pool savory deliciousness with perfectly blended herbs, cascading down flakey, buttery biscuits.

The french onion soup was a perfect balance of sweet carmelized onions and a savory broth. With crispy house made croutons perched on top and smothered with gooey baked cheese. Once you peirce the cheese shield, you'll be inundated with the savory herbaceousness of the soup.

The corned beef hash and the french dip were both amazing as well. The corned beef was seasoned to perfection. And the au jus for the french dip was delicious.

Situated in on old train depot, Maxim’s provides for a delightful breakfast experience. As you enter the building, you are greeted by an expansive model train landscape (with a number of reminders for children not to touch).

Service was prompt and my coffee never made it below half a mug before a warm-up was offered. We ordered the Chorizo Benedict, the Meat Lover’s Skillet and some pancakes to share. It was all amazing!

Great breakfast at a good price!
