Curtis and the team at La Jolla are great! I had some heirloom jewelry I needed cleaned, appraised, resized, and set into new pieces. They were all super friendly and attentive, provided great service and recommendations for options to transform one of the pieces into items for both myself and my sister. He also fixed up one of the stones that had a crack in it so it's better protected.

I needed my platinum wedding ring cut off and resized, and La Jolla was so great to work with. They were able to use a laser to build up my prongs and shape my ring so the weight would be more balanced. My ring is like new - I absolutely love it. Thank you so much!

I lost weight recently and needed my engagement and wedding ring's size adjusted. I went to La Jolla and they did an AMAZING job. Not only did they modify to correct size, but they offered to connect the rings together for me as a set (because I wear both) and it looks fantastic. Great staff and excellent work! I'll be coming back for future jewelry adjustments and repairs and recommending to friends/family. :)

I took my wife’s engagement ring to a jeweler in Jackson (well known) for a repair. The diamond was “juggling around and about to fall out. They fixed it but a week later it had the same issue so I took it back. They said they were unable to fix it but would sell me a new ring for the diamond. The rings alone they showed me were more expensive than my original engagement ring from 16 years ago. I took a pass and left feeling kinda small and of course out a couple hundred bucks for a repair that they didn’t stand behind. It was just weird there. Fast forward to to our 20th anniversary and I decided to use Ja Halla for the “undoable” repair. They took one look at it and said I’d have it by Saturday (three days) and even gave me a “fist bump.” Lol. What a different experience all around. The whole staff was helpful and easygoing. Yes, the ring was nothing special and the diamond is tiny, but it was all I could afford in 2002. We didn’t want a new ring we wanted the one that made it 20 years because I’ve seen some enormous diamonds that didn’t make it 6 months.
This is my second time doing business and I’ll go back again and highly recommend it if you’re not big jewelry couple like my wife and I. Of course, if you are, this place sure has a big selection so it’s a win win!! Thanks guys for being so kind and helpful.

Curtis is a craftsman like no other. Right from the first conversation, I knew He genuinely cared about the project I brought him and, let me just say, his work is *stellar*. He worked diligently to keep within budget. He listened carefully to my ideas and masterfully designed something beyond my expectations. I found a blue sapphire on the internet and he found a perfect color match. Which is very difficult to do. My ring looks amazing.

While visiting the store, we were also invited to admire a fellow customers new piece. She had her mother’s ring reset as a necklace. We were so honored to be a part of this precious moment. What a treasure to be able to connect with someone special that you can no longer see but with your heart.

He also took care of my moms rings. I’ve honestly never seen her engagement ring sparkle like it does now. We both left feeling so well taken care of.

I got my wedding ring in the Caribbean and so I can’t take it to any jeweler, Curtis at La Jolla was professional, communinative and very knowledgeable in his trade. My ring with many small diamonds needed to be sized and they did so quickly and beautifully while ensuring the integrity of my ring stay intact. stopped by to get my diamond rings cleaned ,had a wonderful experience with the owner curtis. he not only cleaned my jewelry but polished it all free of charge, while looking around my husband surprised me with a wonderful 35th anniversary diamond necklace wow i found my new jeweler !

They reset my diamond for my engagement ring and it's lovley. I needed it to be durable, so he put it in a bezel setting. The sterling quality is great.

Update: I went to Curtis once again for a custom piece. I wanted a classic bangle in sterling silver with an engraving on the inside of the bangle. I told him that I want to feel the weight of it and I was dazzled with delight. It took him a few weeks, he is a true artist, that was okay, because it was worth the wait. My husband picked it up today and when I saw it, tears of joy welled up. I can not express good enough how skilled and intuitive Curtis is .

Wow! Found the Perfect Gem our Forever Jeweler. Drove hours to get to La Jolla after being Highly Recommended to have my wife's wedding ring upgraded for our 25th anniversary. Taking the leap to over a 4 carat diamond that all women want! (you're killing us! LOL) that said I went in without having a clue what to do. As I sat talking to the professional staff Curtis Gough, the Master Designer came out & laughed and said "Buddy I got you handled" not only did he give me more then I was told our 2 carat Diamond was worth (in Chicago) he educated me, applied to my upgrade, then custom made my wife's ring entirely "Priceless!" Stunning. Then walked away seeing banners La Jolla put up supporting the local community saying "Chelsea Strong" was worth the trip itself that were bringing to the Chicago area. Thank you La Jolla. Hard to find a family owned (over 40 yrs) honest, knowledgeable, yet costume jeweler with his experience in today's world. Many Thanks!

Phenomenal experience getting my husbands wedding band resized. His ring has very detailed engraving all around and needed to be sized down 1 size. It was originally purchased from JB Robinson and they didn’t want to touch it. Curtis did a great job with all the details on his ring. We’re so thankful
