Big Boy

Very consistently good food. We had the soup and salad bar, tried all 4 soups and they were really good. I ordered "the best cheeseburger" and it was tasty, but I like the original Big Boy butger better because you can taste the actual burger more. And I LOVE the fries, crispy fluffy deliciousness 😋

OK, this was a nostalgia visit; I grew up on Big Boy food in the 1960's and it's been over a quarter century since I last visited one, due to the chain's shrinkage. But my oh my, having a Brawny Lad burger here last weekend really brought back a flood of great memories! The waitstaff was wonderful, they didn't rush us out after closing, and it just made me feel good all over.

We just happened to see this place after walking the beach. I'm so glad we did. Cute restaurant. Plenty of parking. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a huge salad bar! It's probably one of the best salad bars I have had in a while! Especially during the day on a weekday. Friendly staff! Fun atmosphere!

Way better than any Big Boy I've been to down state. Friendly/attentive service. Fish/chips were great! Well themed inside as well, compared to others I've been in down state.

If I could I would give this place 1 million stars, when I got in this waitress was so nice. We got seated she said look at these 3 handsome boys (I was with my brothers). We ordered then got our food then ate. We were paying then out of nowhere she gave us a free cookie!🍪 I would totally recommend this location!!!

Great food. Was made so fast they put other stuff down places to shame. It was a bit chilly inside but bearable. They have wooden toys for kids to play on also. So finding this place while on a 10hr drive was a God send! My boys (4&7) had a blast and loved the food.

Ok so Big Boy is always hit or miss, I have never had a bad meal at this location and I randomly make it here. So today was 13.99 for chicken tenders which came out all juicy juicy and fries with the soup and salad bar. The salad bar ingredients was fresh, and the soup was hot and filling. I topped it off with a piece of coconut cream pie. When they brought it to me I got hit with the smell of coconut.

Food was delicious, better than expected. Perfect char on the meat patty. We were super hungry and also had the salad bar, great selection. They also have a food buffet, decent selection. Iconic restaurant and I’m glad I finally stopped in for the experience. Overall great experience!

We were 40 min away from reastraunt, my husband and I were traveling, we knew we wouldn't make the restraunt in time we called ahead placed an order. The mgr brandy was amazing she waited until we got there at 815 to pick up order. That's customer service. We were so grateful. In today's world who does that. Ty brandy. The food was amazing

I always leave with smile on my face and no room left in my stomach.
The staff is always so welcoming, such Midwest charm!
So many good options but the big boy burger is always my go to.
But definitely worth coming here for by itself is the chocolate peanut butter malt! Sooooo good!

Had friends up from lower Michigan and that is one of their favorite places to go in Manistique. Staff was very pleasant and the buffet was very good for the fish fry.

Never been to Big Boy but heard of it. Good food and prices. Nice thing is this location is directly across from a small park on Lake Michigan.

We choose to take our food to go and our server made sure we had all the condiments, flatware, and napkins we would need.

We were on the lookout for a place with outdoor dining. Being on the front end of our big road trip, we really did not want to end up with any illness that would end out trip early. We were more than pleased with finding this place. They even put the canopy out for us which dropped the temperature a ton. The view from the outdoor tables was amazing. Who wouldn't want to watch Lake Michigan while they chow down on some delicious food.

Edit 9/5/20: Due to Covid-19, indoor seating is in every other booth. They also added outdoor seating with heating elements.

We ordered from the menu the senior breakfast. Plenty of food and our coffee was included in the price. The breakfast buffet was 15.99 per person. We don't eat that heavy. Items on it looked fresh and hot. There was a cold table as well with fresh fruit.

Really cool to find a big boy all the way out here in the middle of nowhere. The food is fresh and the place was busy. The service was great and was able to take our order correctly and deliver it. I'd come back here if I was in the area again.
