Econo Lodge Lakeshore

I like that you can pull up to the rooms, but there's an interior hallway. My room was clean and had a sliding glass door with a screen. The bed was a little thin but comfortable. The guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful with what stores were open. It's also right across from Lake Michigan with a little boardwalk within walking distance.

Great experience with Econo Lodge. I give 5 stars because everything was great. Large room with two double beds, looking as queen to me. Roomy bathroom. Two chairs (many hotels have only one) which is very convenient when you stay as couple. Huge fridge and microwave in the room. Pretty clean and fresh smell. I would definitely book this hotel again if go to that direction.

The service was top notch. Location was perfect, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast and decor need a little upgrade. Over all great.

We have been on a week-long vacation with many hotels. This is the first one that had really good standards it lived up to. No nasty surprises like the other ones! Clean, great price, considering it includes a nice continental breakfast even with waffles! The front desk was courteous, efficient, and pleasant. What else can I say?

While looking for a hotel in Manistique for our fall colors trip, we booked our room solely for the fact that it had a hot tub in the room and wasn't $200+ a night like the hotels around it. We ended up being so pleasantly surprised by our experience. The room was clean and updated, we had free access to hbo max, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and the hot tub was awesome after a long cold day of hiking and sightseeing. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice and economical getaway. We will be back!

A great place to stay! The rooms are clean and quiet, the staff is friendly! The coffee is really good.

Convenient location with a quick walk to the beach and walking path. Rooms are large and clean. There is a motel and hotel section and a sufficient continental breakfast. The lake is not really viewable from the rooms but partially due to the forested area between.

The room was very clean, great shower, comfortable bed but most of all the staff, Yvette and Kay went above and beyond when we found we had a flat tire. They tried to help, called for a local service and then
let us return to our room to wait while the tire was repaired.

I absolutely loved this spot! We booked this place as an affordable hotel on our girl's getaway weekend. The room was clean, and it looked like the hotel really made the effort to renovate the rooms and make everyone feel comfortable. The free breakfast was also a treat! Great location and great price. I would definitely stay here again.

nice place to stay. Stayed two nights here. The price is fair and the hotel is good. The room is bigger than some other hotels. The floor looks clean. Very simple breakfast but fine with me. There’s a trail near the hotel along the lake with beaches, sands, birds, and beautiful sunset. Only complaint is that there is no swimming pool.

We were very pleasantly surprised at how big our room was, very clean with a very nice tub and shower And a high rise toilet stool which is a must for my husband. The lobby is nice and the breakfast area is very pleasant. The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. We also each had a night stand and plenty of outlets. We both use c-paps and often find it difficult to plug everything in. Not the case here. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Very pleased!

A little research online (Choice Hotels) prices/reviews etc.., led me to this Econo Lodge. I checked out the appearance of the place on my Google Maps.. It looked pretty good, but it seemed that the price was a little cheap. Since we were getting 2 rooms for 4 nights each, it would have to do....
WHAT A DEAL!!! There were a few cosmetic defects in the room, which are more noticeable the longer you stay. But, the lobby, dining room and office area had the cutest decorations. The plants, the well groomed grounds!! Seriously, I could NOT have gotten a better deal. They don't have a lavish breakfast, but Fruit, OJ and Waffles were good enough for us. I'm not sure if it's year-round. The coffee is 24/7. The coffee is okay, but is from one of those machines that seems to use instant (?).
I personally prefer a room with one bed, but these rooms were all equipped with two. You could tell the bedding was fresh. And, daily, we were asked by the cleaning staff, if we needed anything. Everyone was SO polite.
Each of us got a voucher for the Kewadin Casino. That was a nice plus. I would book here again, without question.
Oh, yeah.... It's right across the street from an awesome boardwalk, along the shoreline. Boy, did we get exercise!

My wife and I stayed here while passing en route to other parts of the UP. The price was extremely fair, the room was clean (and it had a jacuzzi tub), and we had no issues. It's by no means a fancy hotel in a downtown of a big city but there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Would absolutely recommend it and will happily stay here again when life takes us back to the UP!

My boyfriend and I stayed here recently and the owners were very friendly. Our room was very clean. We had a nice breakfast there with waffles. It is right across the street from a beach. We enjoyed our stay here and you will too. 🙂

Hotel is small but neat and clean, large room with all good amenities in the room, staff is friendly although limited, breakfast is great, car parked just in front of the room, highly recommended for family, room rate is so less even during peak summer holidays.

Why did I love this place? The staff was excellent. The room was totally affordable. And we had dogs that were welcome.
The rooms were large. Nothing fancy but we are traveling with dogs so what do you expect? Nice sliding glass doors gave us great view of the outdoors. A beautiful nature trail just across the street. Totally worth checking out.
If you're traveling in the UP, that may mean that you are looking for a simple holiday. This is a really good stop.

We had a very nice stay, during the week between Christmas and New Year. In this category, it's about as good as it gets. Nice, clean, well appointed with a friendly, helpful staff. Lots of sitting areas when you want to get out of your room. Community microwave, game tables and a spacious breakfast room. Typical light breakfast with waffle maker, cereal, toast, donuts, fruit, etc. This location will likely be our "go-to" when traveling across the U.P.

The property was very nice. The rooms were very well maintained. In the public areas there were nice touches that made the place feel homey. It was not your typical Econo Lodge. During this Covid era I felt very comfortable staying here. And across the street is the glorious Lake Michigan and a boardwalk that follows the coastline.
