Lakeview Park

A nice beach area with plenty of space to share. The parking is a small lot, but it wasn't busy when we went at the end of season. There are porta potties to use by the parking lot. There is a boardwalk leading towards the lighthouse, but you do have to walk in sand and some rocks to get to the cement pier directly to the lighthouse. It is not open, but you can walk up to the door. It is a beautiful view from all angles. Worth a stop.

Lovely place. I didn't investigate the whole park as we stopped by here just for a bit while we waited for our pizza. The views are awesome and you can walk to the lighthouse. If you come on the evening, be prepared for mosquitoes.

I really enjoyed this park with my dog. Not many people for a fall Sunday. Great views. Great beach and boardwalk.

I'm so glad we stopped here! The beach area was clean. The sand was warm. There is a great walkway. Added bonus was being able to walk out to the Lakehouse. Free fun!

Cool park, beach was clean, and they do have a couple picnic tables. Swim at your own risk, no lifeguard and we saw people surfing since it was a windy day when we went. Great place for pictures.

Beautiful spot to stop and stretch your legs. We walked the boardwalk to the lighthouse and then walked the beach looking for shells on the way back. Great spot.

It's a beautiful area and the boardwalk goes for a couple miles. A great place to take your dogs for a long walk. Although our dogs would not go out to the light house lol. The photos below are just off the boardwalk where it was calmer and we could get the dogs in the water to play. Fun for rock hounds also

This was amazingly our first time on this boardwalk/trail. It was funded by the residents of Manistique through the city's Downtown Development Authority. It's approximately 2 miles long and is a mixture of a wooden boardwalk and paved surface. It begins/ends at the famous Manistique lighthouse. It's a very nice and pleasant walk along Lake Michigan that should be on your list of things to do when visiting.

What a wonderful park and pet friendly. We took our bulldog with us for the walk to the lighthouse. The boardwalk itself to the lighthouse could use some love but it was the end of the season. You must walk about 30 feet of large stones to get to the breaker wall to the light house. Beautiful even on a cold and windy day.

Beautiful, would go back, and our dog was welcomed, and it was free.

Very long handicap accessible boardwalk and a nice walk out to the lighthouse. Sandy beach available as well and a great place for a swim in crystal clear water. Great use of the space!

Beautiful walk! Not a whole lot of beach access, as there does not appear to be much sandy space. However, the walk is well-worth stopping for. My wife and I stopped close to sunset, and we were able to walk along the water and all the way out to the lighthouse. Got some great pictures and enjoyed the crisp, clean air. Great place for a walk, relaxing seat by the water, or fishing from the breakwater.

Bathrooms are well maintained, beach was clean and the veiw was stunning at sunset. We were even able to see the milkyway 🌌 after dark! 🥰 was even able to walk all the way up to the lighthouse as well.

Loved this place! I was in Manistique for about 6 hours and had to kill some time. The boardwalk is a nice place for a stroll and has a great view of lake Michigan along with some great photo opportunities. I am planning on going back and bringing my kids!

Absolutely gorgeous place to stop, take a dip and walk out to the light house. If you're planning on walking all the way out to the light house be prepared for a short period of uneven rocks that leads to the wave break, I would also recommend wearing shoes you don't mind getting wet.

Beautiful fall weather & stress relieving walk by lighthouse. Plus we found an #irockmichigan rock hidden there & passed it onto someplace in Newberry. Had best fall vacay ever in the UP.

Good park with family activities. Large playground area that was clean. Plenty of parking. Some beach space with views of the lighthouse contained within the park. We did not make it out to the light house so consult another review for that and pardon my finger in attached photo.

Beautiful place to enjoy the lake. Nice boardwalk to take it in. Had an opportunity to see a bald eagle on the pier. Very exciting!

Wow! I've been here a lot since I pass through on my way to Garden. Water is really high. Be careful walking out to the lighthouse if there are big waves. Almost washed me over. I decided to turn back. Great view.
