Sisters' Sludge Coffee Cafe and Wine Bar

Went here on a whim and wasn’t disappointed! Great coffee, friendly staff, great menu. Will have to stop by again for the wine sometime!

This establishment is truly exceptional. The staff, particularly the sisters, exude an aura of genuine warmth and grace. From the initial phone call to inquire about an item to the moment I stepped through the door, I was met with an atmosphere of inclusivity and acceptance. Unlike some other cafes in the area, where I have unfortunately experienced discrimination based on my skin color, this establishment stands out as a beacon of equality and respect. I felt genuinely welcomed and valued as a customer, which is a refreshing change from my previous experiences.

Very spacious, and lovely baristas who don’t rush you at the counter. I also enjoy their daily question. All their coffee drinks are delicious!

Visiting Minneapolis, and found this place close to our Airbnb. Their salty dog was amazing. Dark chocolate, caramel and salt. Not powerfully sweet- think slightly veering to a savory hot cocoa. I usually stick to a vanilla latte as any specialty drink is too sweet, but this was just right. The service was great, and the atmosphere is super peaceful and chill.

This place is such a cozy spot to curl up with a book or some work you might have. The baristas have always been so incredibly welcoming and kind when I have visited. They handcraft your drinks, so keep in mind if you’re looking for a quick cup, and not something carefully crafted, a drive thru might better suit your needs. I love this spot and am already looking forward to my next visit.

My Favorite coffee shop in Minneapolis and it's right next to my favorite bookstore Dreamhaven. Their Aztec Mocha is my go to and I like grabbing an Art Garfunkel grilled cheese, I just wish they would offer tomato soup with it or any soup really.

Sisters' Sludge new location is wonderful! Great open spaces with lots of comfy couches, and plenty of workspace.
All of the drinks are great, from the standard espresso to the specialty shots. And Sisters' Sludge is the only place I've been where day old pastries taste as good as fresh. Come stop in, have a coffee, read a book. And don't forget to tip the baristas: super friendly and helpful folks!

This sweet little bar and coffee shop makes for a great place to meet friends, waste a little time, or enjoy a delicious drink. Their light snacks are also very well put together and their espresso shot varieties are varied and delicious. Plus they seem to host interesting events. I will check back in if this rings true. If nothing else I appreciate that they are engaging with their community.

I liked Sisters' Sludge just fine at their old location, but I didn't visit them any more than other local coffee shops. Their new location (and new.. je ne sais quoi?) is TRULY FANTASTIC. Their staff are incredibly friendly, they know how to make GOOD espresso (and will explain drinks to you if you aren't familiar), their prices are decent/reasonable, and their space is airy and cozy with just the right amount of "background buzz" to keep conversations private and still promote focus if you're trying to work.

I've been searching for a good coffee shop to work in as an alternative to home and the office, and I think I just found it. Visit if you haven't yet!

Best hot coco I’ve ever had! Spent 3 hours there pitching a graphic novel to a college friend and it felt like something out of a movie. Fantastic vibes 🥰

A lovely shop to get coffee in the morning, or a great glass of wine in the evening. Their selection is amazing and there’s not a bad wine on the menu. Cheese plate is delicious and extremely satisfying. Plus, they host drag shows on their patio in the summer and they are so fun! Please come support the sisters who run this place as they are the sweetest people!

I go here all the time, about once a week, for a dark roast coffee and a latte. Great, friendly place. Americanos here are also good.

I've also attended a drag show here, which was outside and an absolute blast. We had a tasty merlot with a cheese board, and the entertainment was great.

We haven't had a chance to visit the wine bar half of it yet, but the coffee half of it was really nice. It's got high ceilings and a somewhat industrial vibe to it, and their menu is jam packed with interesting sounding stuff. I am a little disappointed in myself though--I placed my order before seeing the seasonal menu so I missed the chance to order a butterbeer-inspired drink. The lavender mocha i ended up getting was still delicious though.

A great place for a light meal, delicious coffee and working or meeting friends environment.

Great place to work - big, open, friendly space, with lots of tables. Good sandwiches (including waffle sandwiches) and beer selection. Espresso drinks are not it's strength, but still okay. An ideal place to work and have a snack or a beer in the afternoon or evening.

This is the best kept secret in Minneapolis. Go enjoy the coffee house vibe with an open and bright space to work in. Then go unwind on the bar side and enjoy the more mellow vibe. South Minneapolis is very lucky the sisters moved to this side of town!

It was a bit expensive and confusing at first but what coffee place isn't am I right. The service was good and I'm the product was good. It was just a little pricey. They have some cool unique items that I liked. I would try it again
