Very cool 0 waste store. they have a surprisingly large assortment of things for how small the store is. Everything seemed very high quality (the prices match that) and lots of locally produced options. The freshly ground peanut butter is amazing, so definitely give that a try! Looking forward to going back!

Tare Market is wonderful and I wish there were more throughout the metro! The store is bright, modern, and lovely.

They have waste-free packing on tons of products - way more than I thought they would! Ketchup, mustard, spices, coffee, tea, dry pasta, granola bars, fig newton bars, straws, food wrap wax, makeup, soap, dishwashing soap, scrubbers, dog shampoo and treats, storage containers, Castile soap, and much, much, more! They also try to source from local vendors. I bought something from a company in St. Paul!

Bring your own clean containers (or they have containers you can purchase) and stock up on products. The staff are very friendly and will help you tare your goods so don't be intimidated!

I came here for a class called, "Transition Your Home to Zero Waste" where one of the owners gave a presentation on starting a waste-free lifestyle. I learned SO much, took tons of notes, and am planning to get started on living a greener lifestyle. The Tare Market website has lots of classes - check them out because they fill up fast!

For prices, I think everything was reasonable. I didn't have anything to compare it to but it seemed well-priced. I bought a 10-pack of facial rounds ($7.99), Dental floss with a refill ($7.49), a mason jar drink lid ($8.99), a lip/cheek tint combo ($11.99). Because I signed up for the class ($10) I got $5 off my storage purchase.

I can't wait to shop here again as I use up what I have and need to replace items.

So many amazing options to go container free, from household goods to pantry staples. Even goodies for our furry friends! Support this shop, and shops like it around the country.

The store is clean and well organized. They have sales but even without them, everything is reasonably priced, great quality, organic and locally sourced. The staff is friendly and answered all of my questions...I had many. Highly recommend this store!

Love this zero waste store so much! The first in MN and it has so many options for food, lifestyle, beauty and more. I’ve already been here 3 times since it opened and have seen new products on shelves in that short span of time. Exciting to see it grow and hope to see it expand as well as setting a precedent for other zero waste stores to open in MN! Every product you need to lower your environmental impact is here.

Fantastic selection of spices, herbs, and basics. They didn't have whole cardamom but they did have everything else on my spice list. I'll be going back for bulk oatmeal, brown sugar, figs, and a few other things. They are eco-friendly, bring your own containers and weigh them before filling. Prices are lower than grocery stores because you aren't paying for packaging. Love this place, highly recommended. Update: they've added new non-edible items including green products like silicone containers, Swedish dish towels, reusable swabs, and more. Every time I go there they have added new products.

Amazing place for the zero-waste veteran or newcomer. Good bulk pricing and options. Great spice and coffee selection. Lots of sustainable options to up your zero-waste game! They even have extra bags and containers if you forget to bring yours in! Can't wait for more stores like this to pop up.

Cool place. Didn't buy anything, but it has a variety of quality bulk food products (coffee, oils, flour, spices, nuts).

Staff is friendly and helpful. My questions are welcomed. The vibe is calming and the store smells so good. I keep coming back for: the liquid hair conditioner and argan oil (hubby loves this for his beard). These are bulk items our co-op doesn't carry. I look forward to trying more!

I love the concept, store is clean, and a friendly employee approached me to ask if I needed help. I recommend those considering reducing their footprint to check out this small business. Make an outing of it and grab dinner at Northbound.

Due to autoimmune flares, I'm going on the AIP diet and have been researching products and recipes. Pretty limited supply here, but this market is perfect for the basic cooking and baking needs of those without restrictive diets.

Restrained myself to $6 on this visit for some arrowroot powder and avocado oil. Seems expensive; reasonable for my household size but would be expensive for a family.

Great low waste local shop in Minneapolis. I was looking for somewhere to shop like this and it was perfect! Staff was able to answer all my questions and let me know how everything works as soon as I walked in. Also, it was great to see what bulk items were in stock on their website before arriving.

We need more Tare Markets in the world. As a new year’s resolution I decided I was going to eliminate something wasteful in my life each month - permanently. Tare Market helped me do that! I started with body wash - so many plastic bottles! - and love their Oneka Shower Gel - light citrus scent, gently cleanses without over drying. Also love their Hibar Shampoo bars. I’ve replaced cotton balls with washable cotton facial rounds and plastic sandwich bags with Stasher bags. Their sunny slices and chocolate peanut butter cups are SO good.

Amber, the founder and owner, is inspiring and a wealth of knowledge on zero waste and conservation. She has a wonderful team following her lead. Thank you for bringing Tare Market to our community!

Fantastic shop with common herbs and dried edibles such as fruits and nuts.

BYO container or use donated ones for maximum sustainability!

Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for quality bulk spices or foods.

My new favorite hygiene items are the Unpaste tooth tabs and Dental lace silk dental floss. I got 2 regular packs of the floss each w/ a glass vial and steel lid. One I use for the tooth tabs. It fits ~2 weeks worth of tabs in it. I was impressed! I love that Tare offers shipping since I do not live in the Metro area. Every time I've spoke with a staff person on the phone they've been very kind and helpful. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

I. Love. This. Place. A zero waste store in MN?! We’re so lucky to have it! They have so much great stuff here. I’m slowly transitioning into a more zero waste lifestyle and whenever I pop in, I get something else to continue on my journey. I’ve picked up bar shampoo (which has totally changed how I think about my curly hair), a bamboo toothbrush, tooth tabs, sustainable floss and cloth napkins. I’ve also gotten bulk laundry liquid, laundry powder, hand soap and dish soap. All of that helps me bring less plastic into my life which I really appreciate.

Really cool zero waste store. Clean, organized, and smells great inside. Came here looking for solid shampoo and conditioner. I found what I came for right away. Awesome to see businesses popping up in Minneapolis that are waste and plastic conscious. Employees were helpful and friendly. Definitely plan on coming here again.

Excellent customer service. They always greet you at the door and make sure you are comfortable with the bulk/byo container shopping process. The employees also are pretty knowledgeable about the products and happy to answer questions. The store is always squeaky clean and I often see an employee cleaning/sanitizing. I also appreciate that they have customers wash their hands before shopping. They carry many good pantry and home staples, which they have a handy list of in their website! Overall really impressed with this place.
