Blue Max Liquors

Blue Max single-handedly kept me intoxicated through the pandemic as it was the only liquor store in the area with enough common sense to stay open. I owe my sanity to you, Blue Max.

Blue Max has carried a great selection of international brews long before the craft brewery movement took over the metro area. Even if good beer isn’t your thing, you should still buy your Busch Light at Blue Max because it’s a family owned establishment that deserves your business more than the munis and big box stores that dominate the area.

Best whiskey selection in the south east metro by far. The staff is friendly, and if you ask they'll point you to whatever new bottles they have in stock. Also a huge beer selection, but that's not really my focus usually. Overall just a great place to stop in and see what's new.

Best liquor store. How do you rate a liquor store? They are all pretty close in price. Blue Max has the friendliest workers I've seen. They are glad to see you there. If you are going to buy alcohol, do it here.

This is not your typical liquor store. Has a library of craft beers. So if your adventurous in your beers and want to try beers from around the world. This is the place for you. All blue max needs now is a media outlet and a beer master with a non condescending demeanor to review all their beers.

This place has one of the largest selections of Scotch in the Cities. The owner knows his scotch, and can answer just about any question. Great selection of local beers here as well as foreign beers. Some of the best bourbon is sold here too. The wine selection isn't huge, but it's definitely good enough. Prices are great too!

This place may look small from the outside...but they're big where it counts-selection. Step inside and it is packed with the largest beer selection I've ever seen in the state before. Tons of local breweries, huge import area and many verticals of things that they've aged themselves. Friendly staff, better than average pricing. Plus, this is a locally owned shop. No big box.

This store may be small but it is stuffed full of great wines and unique beers. Their prices are reasonable too. Even if prices were a bit higher, I would ALWAYS choose to shop a family business rather than a big box store! I definitely would recommend this shop.

The perfect beer store. The best selection in the cities worth driving 20 minutes out of my way to be transported back in time to my early 20's.Unlike every other lq store around they keep 99 percent of their beer in refrigerators to protect it and I for one appreciate that immensely as I get day drunk on Belgian abbey quadruples at what I would have paid 15 years ago. ANYONE who complains about their prices should be tarred and featherd. Love this store.

Get to Blue Max. It's a dive for sure, and that is a good thing! Helpful and friendly staff with amazing selections! You even have the ability to buy vintage bottles! That is not something common!

Unexpectedly great. Best selection of beers I've found in the area. Lots of interesting imported and local options, and the staff's recommendations were all excellent.

Best selection of single malt scotches I’ve found yet. Most of their prices seem pretty good, compared total wine everything seemed to be a few dollars cheaper. Not much, but the selection is the real draw here. Good beer selection too!

I love this place, they have a good selection. But more importantly, their staff is so freaking nice! I don't know the lady's name but she is awesome. She's there every time I go and she is always there with a recommendation. She also helped me pick something out for a gift for someone which was really nice. She didn't have to do that, because I would have gotten it regardless but she took the extra step to do so out of kindness and good customer service. Definitely going to keep going here for all my alcohol needs!

Best kept secret. Huge chilled beer selection. In and out in 10 minutes and never busy. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable about all the various craft brews. Better shopping experience all-around compared to the bigger liquor stores.

One of the best selections of local and craft Brews around! Super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Convenient location right off 42 with plenty of parking. They also have a nice selection of single malt scotch for you aficionados.

They not only have a major selection of beer, mead, wine, whiskey and so much more, but they're knowledgeable and know exactly what they're speaking to.
You have questions, they have answers. Even if they don't know the answer, they'll find or figure it out.
True story, I couldn't find what I wanted and asked one of the associates, they didn't have it on hand. He says he'll order it for me. Seriously?! Awesome.
What more can be said? Friendly, accommodating and great selection.
