Rock Elm Tavern

went here for a family dinner, great american restaurant! we ordered the mushroom swiss burger, pesto pasta, buffalo shrimp, and steak. all were good (especially the burger!!) except the pesto pasta, which had a very strong grassy taste and was chunky. environment was nice, albeit a bit cold and noisy.

Outstanding tavern. Atmosphere was so interesting, woods mixed with metal. Low lighting added to the intrigue. The service was perfect and the appetizers we ordered were delicious.

First time here, good service at the bar! Dry heat burger was awesome! Super hot & the cheese curds was super crispy!

I did not expect to be so impressed by this little place, but much to my surprise I was wowed throughout our time there. We arrived at 530 and were seated a moment later (with a reservation). Upon getting to the table, waited about a minute before our server Kaia arrived and introduced herself while bringing food to another table. When she came back was very courteous and understanding of us being in a rush as we had to be to the theater in a bit more than an hour. We had already checked the menu in the car and placed our order immediately.

Kaia must have put a rush on it because I feel like I barely blinked and the food was coming out. Huge portions for the salad, wings were large and kids meal was a perfect portion. My wife got a flat bread with panchetta and pear she raved about. Turned out my daughter and I weren't huge fans with the tarragon Vinegrette on the Nisswa salad (we didn't notice it had said tarragon vinaigrette until after we tried it) and I informed Kaia of this. Initially asked if my daughter could order something else and I'd just pay for the salad. Kaia would have no such thing and in discussing the tarragon issue asked if I wanted something else too. We both ordered a burger and fries - which again was expedited due to our time constraints.

Manager came by and took our salads, said she understood the tarragon vinegrette was an acquired taste and was super nice. Then the burgers arrived and blew our minds. First, fries were perfect - crunchy outside soft inside. Portions were perfect as well. I got the burger with blue cheese infused bacon and steak sauce and it was so great! Like 15 things going on in my mouth with that burger, all working together. My daughter got the white cheddar bacon burger and felt it was equally excellent.

Quick check and checkout. Kaia didn't hover but wasn't absent either. Their desserts look wonderful and if we had more time would have indulged... something to look forward to for next time. Awesome experience, can't wait to go back!

The menu is full of good food options with quirky twists. The Herman German is a hamburger with beef and sausage patty with a cranberry relish. The wait staff is attentive.

They have great burgers. The best part is you can sub chicken for beef for free or switch to vegan patty for additional charge. I recommend the VAT17 burger. Great flavor and taste. The atmosphere was a nice casual bar and grill type restaurant.

this place always delivers consistent experiences. they've been in this location longer than any other restaurant and visiting them once makes sense.
from the smile at the door to the friendly and expert service to the meals and libations, it's a treat to dine here.

Came here for lunch, got seated on the patio right away. My burger was cooked exactly how I ordered it, fries were cooked just right as well. I need to do this more often.

My wife, son, and I moved to the area about a year and a half ago. Rock Elm has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants to go to for dinner. The service and food quality is always on point! Great drinks, too!

We were told that there was a wait time of 30 mins when we came in at 6:30 pm on a Friday evening. However, we got seated in about 15 mins.

We ordered a drink each and a mushroom flatbread and a Brussels sprouts to share. All the drinks were good and so were the appetizers. We will definitely be back here again for their happy hour some time. Service was quick and attentive and the ambience was nice too!

The service at Rock Elm is amazing! When we had an empty dish or glass on our table, it was swiftly picked up by what ever server happened to walk by.

Great food at a really great price!

Dry heat burger with french fries in the image. This has an excellent combination of flavor and heat. If you're a Minnesota-nice for heat tolerance, beware that this will either be amazing flavors or fire-breath after your first bite or two. While I'm not usually a fan of thick cut fries, these are perfect. Cooked to a nice crisp, but not overly crunchy finish with seasoning to give them an enjoyable addition as side of choice.

Some of the best food I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere, customer service is AMAZING. Everything came out fast and the prices were just right. 100% recommend.

The burger was delicious, you can tell it’s better quality than the normal bar burger at other restaurants. The crispy brussel sprouts are a must! So freaking good. Also the homemade tots were really good too! The service was fantastic. A++

5 starts! The ghost pepper burger was perfection. A lot of staff moving around quickly. Great vibe, place is packed! Get the shrimp app ‘twas delish.

Great customer service. Our server went out of her way to talk to the chef to substitute some of the meat options on the pretzel charcuterie without our even having to ask. She was attentive and made it a pleasurable lunch with our three kids.

They are currently renovated (which does not affect the atmosphere) to expand for space. Nice outside patio on nice weather days.

Staff welcoming and attentive. Food excellent. Highly recommend the Street Tacos. The portion was filling but not to heavy for the very hot day. Atmosphere lets you forget your in a strip mall in the suburbs.

Great food and service. Had the Rock Elm burger and cheese curds and the turkey club. Nice big outdoor patio too!
