Craftsman Wood Grille & Tap House

Up for business and was told I have to go. Love the atmosphere. Bar area was impressive. Food was pricey but service was very fast and the staff was super social. Sat at the bar. Team style serving with everyone on point with great energy. Bartenders were great joking back and forth. Steak was very fatty for my liking but my buddies I went with were all about it so my personal taste next time I think I’ll go with the skirt steak. Had the peanut butter cake for dessert was very rich but amazing at the same time. Could definitely share the dessert. Will be back for sure next time I’m up. Will add more pics then too.

Great service, cute and cozy vibes, perfect for date night or dinner with friends and family. Loved the cocktails and the food was pretty good! Would come back here again. They have some creative dishes such as the bacon flight which was super yummy! I got the summer salad which was so refreshing, truffle fries which were very good and crispy and the artichoke dips - super yummy!!!

We came here for an early dinner (4:30) on a Saturday. We had a reservation, and we were promptly seated, and we were allowed to choose if we wanted to sit inside or out. We opted for outside. Both the inside and outside of the restaurant are beautiful. Our waiter was very friendly, and he checked on us regularly. They have a good selection of beers from local breweries. We started out with a pretzel and fried cauliflower, and I highly recommend the cauliflower! It was so good! For the main course, I had a burger, and I would definitely recommend it! It was a great experience!

First time at the Craftsman and it was a great meal. First off it's a beautiful setting both inside and outside. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The menu is very diverse and dare I say almost too "fancy" for the less adventurous eaters in the world. I'd recommend taking a gander at the menu if you fit that description.

For my wife and I everything we had was delicious. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing, my burger was cooked to perfection with a nice flavor, my fries were good, I would have preferred a bit more salt on them. My wife loved everything on her Salmon dish. We got a side of the beets and they were a great addition to our meal. For dessert we tried the ice cream sandwiches, which you can't go wrong with that kind of choice and the lemon blueberry cake. That cake was a recommendation from our server and she was right on!! It was fantastic.

No doubt this is on the more expensive end if you are going with the main dishes. For our first adventure here it was worth it! Enjoy!

In the course of planning our wedding reception and stay through the Craftsman Inn & Suites, we ate a couple of times at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves each time. The service was excellent, food was very good with generous portions, great atmosphere, and reasonable cost. We'll be back again now we're done with our big day, and looking forward to enjoying a leisurely meal on our next visit to the area.

The espresso martini is one of the best I’ve had! I got the fish and chips which I was surprised of the portion size. I’m happy they gave a lot because some places give you such small pieces of haddock. I also got Brussels sprouts on the side and omg they were delicious. We didn’t get the bacon flight but a lot of others did and I wished I didn’t each so much fish so I could order the bacon. This place is a true gem with quality food and amazing service by Danielle! I can’t wait to come back when I visit my family again

Today we had dinner at Craftsman Grill to celebrate a PhD graduate. The atmosphere was fantastic, ambiance and very nicely appointed dining room. Food was phenomenal! There were 5 of us, so it took a while to decide on orders. But our server Zack took great care of us and patiently waited for us to decide; he was very attentive and was checking on us in a very unintrusive matter! We had cocktails and a bottle of very good wine! Drunken mussels were to die for and Zack's recommendation for wings did not disappoint! Duck ravioli were a hit, salmon was very good, too! Due to dietary restrictions I had the Figs and goat cheese pizza,, and it was very delicios as promised! Raspberry mousse with a glass of RemyMartin finished the meal ( only deficiency was it was served in inapropriate glasses).

Had a great time. Very nice interior and outdoor seating. Had their filet mignon with a red wine demi glaze. A great cut of meat and glaze complemented it very well. I also really liked the fingerling potatoes. We also got one of their burgers, and it too was of great quality. Based on our experience, we will definitely consider coming back in the near future!

If you don't get the bacon flight you are really missing out. This place is wonderful, amazing steaks and amazing moctails.

This place is amazing! The drinks were great, the food was interestingly amazing, and the server Micah was spectacular! Super funny and a go with the flow kinda person. Overall, definitely wanna come back here again

Final Update: upon returning with our gift card we ordered. Not exaggerating but literally everything the brought us (including an extra meal I ordered lambchops) were absolutely perfectly done and delicious for both of us as were the deserts. Service was excellent and I am convinced the single less satisfied experience we had was an outlier. I won't hesitate to return. Well done you got my 5th star returned by your attentiveness and performance.

Update: 11/12/23 Trevor was very quick to respond to what or issues below were and took full responsibility, without excuses, conveying wanting to maintain their high standards that I was previously used to...
They sent a gift card that was generous in my opinion and I will stop again in hopes, the food and service I became accustomed to here is as I remembered from many times prior. Thank you Trevor!

This is my 3rd time here since the remodel and not at all like the last 2 which went from very good, to good, to this last visit today...the first of those which I had a room. Today was disappointing...

Update mom's fish was good and the lemon caper sauce and the gnocchi was good, mom's fries were bland dry and tasteless, the sweet potato fries and Honey Maple butter was very good, the prime rib and bun of the beef on a wick was good, however, the bottom bun was soggy soaked through so undesirable, I would have preferred soaking it in the Au jus, and whomever has the notion that the wet limp white onions in this offering even remotely approaches what "caramelized" onions are has a lot to learn about cooking food but limp, white & tasteless... I hope it's not sitting in a vat of juice meat and onions together but you know it probably is...carmelized onions take 45 minutes to an hour is your hint! The "fire Roasted parmasan asparagus" was not pre-snapped so tasted like hard straw, the ends soggy like boiled not fired anything and the Parmesan chipped off a cold block lol, awful, they were sent back. The garden salad and shallot vinegrette was fresh and good. The deserts (salted carmel cheesecake and flourless chocolate tort) looked and tasted frozen or boxed with possibly the Butterfly cake being the exception. ...really this place is beautiful but food wise has plummeted for anyone with a true pallet...the server got his 15% (my disappointed minimum) but didn't fill my water till the check came, and wasn't real attentive during...nice enough guy...I won't likely be back again unfortunately...to the restaurant. Hopefully the menu from the hotel is still good. For $140 I will cook my mom's dinner next year at home.

The Craftsman is a beautiful restaurant with a hotel directly next door. Walking distance for sure. We found parking without a problem despite there was a wedding party there too. Speaking of, there was so so so much seating that we didn't have to be on top of or even near anyone. There are private rooms for bigger parties which is AWESOME!!! The appetizers and drinks came out super fast and Man oh man were they great. A couple more ipa's later and our dinner arrived. WOW was it all great. Dessert was excellent as well as the presentation of every dish. Well put together for sure. The waitress was amazing and very tentative to our every need. Outside there is TONS of seating with heat lamps above you, fireplaces beside you and even small fire tables you can dine at as well. Overall I'd say this place is a huge winner in my book. Whether your a party of 20+ or just 4 like us you can enjoy yourself at the Xraftsman Wood Grille!! Thank You Once Again.

The food and service are both excellent! The plating was beautiful as well. When you combine that with a nice atmosphere it makes for a wonderful dining experience. If you’re looking for a nice place to celebrate a graduation, or promotion, or even just a nice evening out I would highly recommend giving them a shot. I would also recommend making reservations if you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday evening.

Tonight we had a bottle of wine, pretzel bites with beer cheese, a grilled chicken sandwich, and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious and the staff was friendly.

What an excellent gem in Fayetteville, NY! Beautiful building, excellent service, amazing ambiance, friendly and attentive staff, lots of beer choices and spectacular food! I could go on and on! Will definitely be my go to place! Only one suggestion, I enjoy and appreciate the many IPA and New England IPAs but would love to see more porter and stouts on tap especially during the winter months.

Food and atmosphere was excellent. Zach was an amazing server as well! He anticipated all our needs before we even had to ask!

The restaurant was amazing, well made cocktails, delicious food, and fun atmosphere. Check in was a breeze, room was large, modern and most importantly clean! The town was easy to navigate as well as safe to adventure around. If traveling to the Syracuse region, this is the place to stay!
