Bushnell's Basin Dock

Let's be honest, this park exists to eat Abbott's custard in. Yes, even in winter or spring when the canal is... "less picturesque" one should still be eating in this park. The view of the bridge is kind of soothing to me, but one of the nicest features here is that the canal walk links directly into the crescent trail. If one is inclined, one could walk from here all the way to Thayer or Indian Hill. Neat!

Great spot to take a break while traveling on the Erie Canal. Benches, tables, restrooms, all clean and well maintained. Many places to get food and drink in less than 10 minute walk.

We docked here during our Erie Canal adventure. It was quiet at night and the public bathroom was clean. The public showers are not open. The convenient store was steps away from the dock and we had food within walking distance.

Great place near plenty of restaurants and convenience stores

Good dock facilities along the Erie Canal. Not obvious where to check in, the girl at the ice cream shop was no help. I found the nearby bridge to be noisy until late and then again early AM. Similar to other canalside docks with maybe a bit less hustle nearby. I’d load a nice photo but Apple makes that impossible.

At pump number two gas didn’t come out till average $.60 cents then then gas started coming out you need to have it corrected
