What a great experience! My mom and her boyfriend came to visit my wife and me, and we were recommended to this restaurant by someone who's lived in the area much longer than the month we've been here.

The food was out of this world! My wife enjoyed the scallops, my mom loved the seafood gumbo, her boyfriend raved about the catch of the day which I believe was halibut, and I couldn't get enough of the confitted duck legs! The homemade ice cream and sorbet - also completely amazing. We could not have asked for a better meal. The drinks were also quite tasty!

The service was incredible as well. And the atmosphere was so cozy. I can't wait to return!

Beautiful restaurant!! Excellent service. They kindly accepted our bringing two babies, who sat in high chairs. My scallops were huge and delicious. Fun time.

Charming, locally-owned, restaurant in a beautifully manicured lightly-wooded setting along the famous Erie Canal in Pittsford, NY.

Summer months see the outdoors being fully utilized, with a massive, free-standing tent, as well as individual umbrella'd tables.

While the menu is not extensive, it IS exquisite! We're talking high-end gourmet soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees! The meals do not disappoint- you get what you pay for! Portions are generous and the flavors are delectable.

There is also a well-stocked bar with a good variety of beer, wine and stronger spirits.

The staff is attentive, courteous and professional. You will feel like royalty on how they treat you!

Fun history to learn about this place, great service, friendly staff, delicious food, neat cocktails and the bartender made a perfect mocktail for me and cozy atmosphere! Plus, they added a candle on my mom's dessert for her birthday!

Excellent service, Debbie was delightful in her explanation of the specials. She was so excited about the choices I couldn't help but try them. I'm glad we did. The apps were fantastic, we should have just ordered more! Certainly will have to bring back some additional friends. I have difficulty hearing but the interior was charming and not noisy at all.

Diane was a great server. We had two people with food allergies and she was very knowledgeable on what they could have and how all the food was prepared. The food itself was very good. All around a very nice dining experience.

Loved it here! Right on the canal, under a tent and great food. Lots of seating. Chairs and fire pits along the canal for drinks. What's not to like. A little pricey but worth it. Definitely would recommend a visit.

I was in town for work and usually I’ll attempt to try a few places. Fortunately I was so impressed with this place on my first night, that I decided to only eat here for the duration of my stay.

Every dish I would finish wishing there was more just a little more, because it was just so amazing and I never wanted it to end.

I will miss this place and I will make sure I come back the next time I’m in town.

The Black garlic shrimp scampi was fabulous. I loved it and would certainly order it again. Our service was excellent and it was a beautiful night under the tent.

This was my first visit to this historic local restaurant on the Erie Canal. Terrific location and atmosphere. I ordered salmon which was perfectly cooked and seasoned with a dill relish that was absolutely delicious. Seasonal vegetables and rice on the side were very good. Portion size was perfect. My husband ordered scallops which were plump and sweet and seared to perfection. The service was friendly and efficient. I am looking forward to returning soon to try some of their other menu options. Highly recommend! 👌 👍

I've driven by Richardson's hundreds of times but never dined there. Just went last night - it was AMAZING! The menu is unreal! Food was delicious (pierogi appetizer was extraordinary and the oysters were amazing). I had duck for an entree and my wife had swordfish (that was the best swordfish I've ever had). Duck was perfectly cooked. Dessert was also incredible. It's not often when every stage of the meal is on point, but Richardson's nailed it!

Excellent from start to finish! Karen, the host, and our waiter Chris went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Food was excellent! Angus ribeye perfectly grilled. Small wedge salad with thick, real bacon! We met up with friends we have not seen in a while and we all had a fantastic time during this 'last summer weekend. Go for wonderful food and service, and a beautiful location on the canal.

One of the nicest dinners we've enjoyed in a long time. Are outside. Perfect weather. Our server, Shelly was great and the food, appetizers, salads and dinner were fabulous! And the desserts awesome! Definitely recommend and be back.

The food was wonderful and delicious especially the scallops and the bolognese. OMG. Service was excellent and friendly. And best of all.....I left a treasured piece of clothing behind and the next day we left for an Erie Canal cruise, so I could not stop over to pick it up for 5 days. They are we closed that day. I called the restaurant once they opened and they were soooo helpful to leave it outdoors for me to pick up later. 1000 Kudos! Please patronize this establishment when in Pittsford.

Went for dinner last night, first time there. Had amazing food, great service!!
But what was even better was , there was an elderly couple at the table next to ours. They finished dinner and were ready to pay the bill. They could not find their credit card. The elderly man was becoming agitated and his wife was a bit confused. We were concerned and decided we would pay for their bill. But the restaurant manager was kind, caring and patient. The manager explained to the couple "not to worry about it" The bill was covered by the manager/owner. I was so touched by this, that I will tell all my friends. Truly a heart warming moment. So go and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere, great food, and good people who work there!

We had our first visit here and are looking forward to our next. Although finding the parking lot can be a bit of a maze experience it's easy enough to navigate.
The service is outstanding, attentive but not intrusive which is the petfect balance. Cozy tables with plenty of space between so there isn't the cramped feeling that so many restaurants have these days.
The food was outstanding! We had had tenderloin cooked to perfection and the scalloped potatoes a dream as well as the lamb seasoned and juicy, honestly the best in the area. On our next visit we'll try to save room for dessert.
Highly recommend you visit.
