My husband and I live in an RV full time. I’m always on the lookout for a small, locally owned business. This place is a readers dream. You can spend hours looking. The owner is just a fantastic guy who knows where everything is.The prices are great. I’ve been in many used bookstores and this is one of the best. If I’m ever back in this area I will stop again.

A great little gem of a bookstore! Books on every subject, you can get lost for hours! The owner is polite and the prices are reasonable. Will absolutely be back

Great place for book lovers. It’s fun to hunt through the piles of books for secret treasures, but the owner also knows where most of the books are located, so you won’t have trouble finding specific titles. I will be coming back soon!

I am a regular shopper at this wonderful, neighborhood bookstore and have been for years. Steve, the owner, is very helpful and a joy to speak with. I appreciate so much that we have this store as a community resource. There is a possibility the store will be moving from its current location so get over to 1550 Jefferson Rd before it's too late!

This place is fantastic! Great prices, large array of books organized by genre and alphabetized, and a truly great selection. The owner is very kind and you can tell he is passionate about his business. You’ll get the same stuff you got at Barnes and noble way cheaper here and support a small business while you’re at it.

I wish I came here more often! This is a great place for cheap books. We need more people like the owner, who loves books and is kind to people. He has many suggestions and good finds. the place can be confusing by looking at its selections to choose from, but I assure you the gentleman that works here will help find what you need. Please be kind to him!

Could spend the rest of my life going through the piles and piles of books. Perfect mix of chaos and order. But of course, never enough books!

We love going to used bookstores for the thrill of finding treasures in a huge stash of literary material. Today, I found a copy of a book I've been searching for over 20 years in beautiful condition. Never left here with fewer than 20 books. The variety of books is amazing and I love to browse, even in subjects I'm not really interested in, just to see what I can find. The owner is very knowledgeable and provides great help. Their prices are very reasonable and we go back every time we're in town. With the printed word falling out of favour and stores like this closing every day, we all need to support every bookseller left, especially those as diverse as Bookends.

This bookstore is wonderful, a Rochester hidden treasure. The owner replies to messages as soon as he can get to them and gives great attention to his customer’s requests. The floor and aisles are a little messy, but the quantity and quality bookends offer to customers offsets this. If you are bothered by the aisles, simply ask the owner where something is to avoid feeling overwhelmed. He just about knows every inch of his store and every book (simply amazing). He takes his concerns very seriously, and works very hard to keep up his shop (which mind you is an extremely hard task for one person).

Bookends is an absolute a gem — truly a hidden treasure. Steve is incredibly kind and helpful. If ever you are unable to locate a novel, just ask and he’ll be able to find it within a matter of seconds.

Awesome used bookstore! The owner is very nice and is always willing to help you find something and seems to know (within a shelf) where an author is located, even though there are books everywhere! I love that the place is overflowing with books. A perfect store for browsing and finding something new to read.

I had stopped in largely on a whim. I had been meaning to Stop in, but it is not near my usual places. When I finally did, and looked around (and bought four books) I was pleasantly surprised. While there are stacks of books on the floor in many areas, and the books are not alphabetized or anything, it IS just how a used bookstore should Feel. I thought the prices were reasonable. The selection was quite impressive, with a selection of books on wordplay and word origins better than any new bookstore I've seen in a long time.

Amazing little bookstore! A great selection of used books. I was able to find a lot of hidden gems in their extensive poetry section. A bit chaotic to sort through given the quantity of books, but still spectacular.

Bookends is a good size and reasonably organized used book store in Henrietta. They have quite a good selection in various genres of books, and the proprietor will help you find whatever it is that you might be looking for if you can't on your own. Prices could be a little bit better, but still not bad considering the excellent selection.

Really great small bookstore! The guy who works there is super nice and actually knows where a lot of the books are which is unusual for a place like this! Definitely worth checking out if you just like bookstores or if you want to find something in particular.

Stopped in while killing time between appointments. Didn’t expect to find anything in particular but came away with four more books about writing, including a second book by John Gardner. I think the store had multiple copies of The Art of Fiction at a good price, so I may go back to get some to hand out at the writers group I belong to.

Prolific yet cozy used book store conveniently located on the end cap of a small strip mall. Diverse selection with good pricing and fair deals when you spend a little money. First time there and I walked out content with 3 classic Asimov novels, one more recent sci-fi novel and a nonfiction hardcover for under $13. Pleasant and interested owner, we walked in 4 minutes before they closed and he stayed fully engaged with us until well past their closing time. Nice, quaint used bookstore under friendly, knowledgeable management. I will be definitely returning.
