This is my second child to be a patient at Harmony Mills pediatric. Dr. DiTursi is an amazing pediatrician. I appreciate how informative she is I can ask her a question on why something is and she can explain it to me on any level. She honestly does care about every patient and from what I've seen doesn't short anyone ever medical expertise she gives them 150%. My two half sisters also have their children as patients here and without looking in her records remembers every kid's name just by talking to their parents.
Tara is one of my favorite nurses she's always coming in to see the baby even if she's not scheduled to see him that day.
Michaela is an amazing representative for the front end of the office she's one of the first people you see and she's the last one you see when leaving. She is on point and will do her best to schedule you based on what time you have available. She seems to build a different type of relationship with each parent and patient. This office is amazing!!!

Dr. Ditusi is the best. I hear a lot of people asking for "holsitic" healthcare for their children but they don't seem to understand what treating a whole child means at all. They want herbs, yoga, and no accountability for anything that's actually happening clinically in the community in which they live. Guess what? Holistic medicinal practices should whole-ly address issues facing your whole community not just your paranoia about vaccines, which has been empirically proven unwarranted.

Dr. Ditursi encourages vaccines. I appreciate this. She encourages therapy before medication for behavioral issues. Her referrals are always topnotch and she considers my insurance, financial staus, schedule as a single parent, and the trauma my child and I have experienced so far in our lives.

She addresses safe body practices, even with her youngest patients. Ie. She says "I am only checking under your clothes because your mommy is here in the room and says it's okay. It would not be okay for me to do this without her or your permission and it is never okay for anyone to touch you or look at your body." I never had a pediatrician say that to me as a child, and it is critically important.

She speaks to my child with respect and encourages her to voice her own opinions and concerns about her health and behavior.

I admit I'm not often pleased when I try to call in and don't get someone on the phone right away, but I always get my call returned. I have been treated with respect by all staff here, even during walk-in hours.

Seeing some of the other reviews is disheartening because this is a great doctor and practice, and I'm realizing that the biggest problem in the Capital Region with children and healthcare is idiot parents. Get your kid vaccinated because if these reviews tell you anything its that there going to be some really sick kids in our region.

Dr DiTursi is an amazing Dr. she goes above and beyond for her patients. She didn’t stop until she got to the root of the problem to why my son wasn’t gaining weight, rather than contacting CPS on us assuming we were neglecting our child. My daughter loves her style(especially when she wears her my little pony attire). We are very comfortable with having her as our children’s Dr and we look forward to working with her as our children grow <3

Always friendly, respectful, professional, and they truly care. I like that they separate the sick and not sick waiting areas. Very informative and helpful. I don’t like that people smoke outside waiting for the bus it’s irritating. But other than that I have no complaints.

Wow I am glad I am not the only person to have similar experiences at this office. My only child is now almost a year old, so this is from the last 11 months. After giving birth all the nurses at the hospital highly recommended this practice & Dr Ditursi. It’s close to our home and takes our insurance, so I made my daughter’s appointment there. At first glance it’s okay, nothing fancy. The nurse was nice & personable, can’t remeber her name. Unfortunately, the reviews of the receptionist are accurate. She does not greet you when you walk in, I have to say good morning first which I hate. It’s like you’re not there she just gives you a stupid electronic pad to sign in on. Also I made the next appointment, wrote it down and everything but when we get there the next time she says no it wasn’t today. I was so confused but thought ok, I am just flustered blamed it on pregnancy brain/sleep deprivation. But we double checked my mother’s calendar when we got home (she was going to the dr’s with us) and it was that day. I called the office and the receptionist still acted like I was wrong, no apology just no we can’t fit you in. I said I feel like I am being lied to, and she got so defensive and rude. I am not the type to start trouble but had to stand up to this. I was the bigger person and apologized the next time we were there because I hate conflict.
Anyway Dr Ditursi is pretty good, I can see why people like her because she likes to explain and take her time with patients and parents, but sometimes it’s almost too much. My husband finds her a bit overbearing. We actually prefer Dr Kelleher- she is sweet, to the point and doesn’t push the vax on you, but unfortunately she is retiring here soon. I do like that they have walk-in hours and my daughter’s actual visit with the doctor or nurse has been fine. Hopefully someone takes these reviews into consideration. We may look elsewhere. I wish I did when she was born.

I don't have any issues with the Doc. although I do think that the practice has gone down since the passing of Dr. Gratton! I have been trying to get my son an appointment for his physical before school for over a month, and no one answers the phones. EVER!! This is so ridiculous and unprofessional; there is no way that for a month straight at different times throughout the day they are that busy!!
The receptionist needs to do her job and answer the phones, or Doc should invest in someone who actually works!!!!!

My mother,my daughter and I have all had Dr.Grattan.After he passed away,my daughter still comes here, and my baby.I like Dr.Ditursi and two of the nurse practitioners.I no longer like Ruth because I feel it was not her place to take into her own hands the decision of not giving a doctors note to exempt me from getting the flu shot while nursing.(My job I have been at 5 years requires it, or they take you off the schedule.I could have worn the mask with a note)I had done a lot of research to see if it was safe, and could not come up with enough information out there for nursing mothers,so decided against it for this year.I was then faced with having to get the shot while still nursing, or lose my job.I got the preservative free shot to keep my job. This was on a Wednesday.Friday night my nursing baby had a 102 fever that I will never know what caused it,since no one else was sick. After all night at the ER, the results were that it was not a uti, and was not strep,so their conclusion was that it was viral.I was going to move my kids from this practice after this occurrence.I chose not to because I really like how thorough Dr.Ditursi is.We do not get her very much, but she is good. The office is close, they are good at getting your kids in when they are sick, even though there is always a wait.It is very convenient that they have the option of the walk in clinic 7am-9am on the week days.I have needed to use this a few times and will not make it harder on our household because of one nurse.

We’d felt on the fence about this practice for a while, but most recently came in to the office to discover that they are no longer requiring masks with not so much as a notification of this policy change to families. I’m pretty sure this is against current NYS guidelines for healthcare facilities. Anyway, it was one thing to see the admin staff and people in the waiting rooms not wearing masks but a nurse even came in to examine our toddler without a mask on. Didn’t bat an eyelash or even offer despite the fact that myself and my coparent were both masked. A very disappointing turn given how hard this COVID/flu season has been on children.

We also didn’t love our interactions with the administrative and nursing staff. Dr. DiTursi is knowledgeable and kind, but the nurses seemed to be different every time and we had more than one interaction with them that made us uncomfortable as a queer family. We found it frustrating to not be able to make our next appointment when checking out even when the next appointment was just a couple of months away.

I thought a receptionist is supposed to be inviting and respectful? I shouldn't be finding myself being more respectful and using my manners then the person who's supposed to be doing their job. When I call, the receptionist is just rude. I tried to say thank you and goodbye the proper way but I feel myself being rushed off the phone and just hung up on before I can even say "thank". If it wasn't for my daughter being so comfortable and loving her doctor, I would change primary asap due to rude staffing. Even she doesn't like anyone but her doctor, hire people who like to joke with the kids and laugh and be silly and sweet, not miserable.

I love Doc so much! I ended up having to move north. So I had to go back to my daughters old office. Well the receptionist told me it takes 30 days to transfer files even though when I filled out the form she told me it would all be faxed over on the following Monday. That was on Feb 8th when I filled out the papers. I called to schedule a sick appointment for this past Friday because my daughter is ill and her old practice never got her records back yet. I called Harmony Mills to get them to send them and they were telling me 30 days again even though they have less than a week left. The receptionist told me she would fax some papers over so I could at least make a sick appointment for my daughter. I called her doctors office yesterday (they are open 7 days a week which I love) and no papers and her file is locked until they get the records so they couldn’t make her an appointment. So I had to go wait at urgent care for almost 5 hours yesterday when if they just faxed over what they said they were going to I would have no issues. I would have just gone to Harmony Mills but it’s an hour away and they aren’t open on weekends. Very angry that I keep getting the run around. Going to try and see if I can just get the records myself and take them to her office because at least I if I go do it I would know it would get done!

This place is horrible!!!! I went there a few time the first time I got pressured into getting my kids shots all at once when I said I didn’t want it I wanted to divide them up and they just couldn’t and then… I went there and I said I’m not doing them all at once…again and the doctors gonna say what’s the difference and then I say I’ve never got the flu shot in my life and never been sick and she keeps nagging on why not its not the same flu as in ga cause I’m from ga… she tried to play me for dumb I won’t be back and I don’t suggest this dr to anyone she told me it’s her way or the highway and if she wanted to she could give my son 10 shots I’m a first time mom she made me very uncomfortable!!!!! Would give 0 stars but it’s not a option🙄
