Umberto's Of New Hyde Park

This is actually a review of the pizzeria and two words, grandma pie. I’ve been to other locations but the grandma pie is the best here. I would have to say perhaps the best pizza on Ling Island

Loved this spot! The service was amazing and food was to die for, highly recommend their vodka slices and grandma slice. Great dessert selections too!

Staff were awesome very attentive. Food was great but the portions were very small. Small portions is not what I would expect from this place because it’s a family style restaurant. I think the portions were small because I was part of a large group with a set menu.

I live in NJ and every time I’m in the area I HAVE to stop and get me a couple Sicilians. Regular cheese slice is also very tasty!

Best pizza on LI. All three styles were fantastic, grandma, deep dish, and regular. Veal parm was great too.

Perhaps one of the TASTIEST Pizzas I have had in my entire life! I tried their Grandma’s and Deep Dish and both were Crème de la Crème! I you “like Pizza” you are guaranteed to LOVE UMBERTO’S of New York!

The staff is super courteous and friendly, always ready to answer questions and assist you. Explanation of menu thoroughly.

Umberto's was delightful! Met some awesome people Donildo and his staff are amazing will definitely come back! My favorite is the rich fettuccine Alfredo in a cheesey cream sauce and Potato gnocchi in a beautiful rich fresh tomato sauce!

The Sicilian pizza was really good! We preferred just cheese by itself but pepperoni was also tasty. Very nice dining area and we were seated very quickly on a Sunday afternoon. The sauce on the pizza was probably the best part and we also enjoyed the bread that they brought out. Would recommend for a large group because of how quickly they were able to sit us and also how quick the food came out!

What can I say Absolutely AWESOME as usual. This Long Island staple is second to none. The food here is always best in class and the staff is more than accommodating. We LOVE Umbertos of NHP, and can’t wait to go back to our favorite restaurant.

Best Sicilian pie around by far. Regular Neapolitan is also great, but not the best I've had. Most menu items are above average. Workers behind the take out counter are excellent. Been going for over 40yrs.

Umberto's is an amazing place to dine. The wait staff, Enrico and Chicho, treated us like we were family and old friends.
The food is amazing. All homemade and delicious.

Go experience this place and see that you are family at Umberto's, even when you are visiting from Texas.

We will be back to try the pizza which is supposed to be amazing.

I live upstate, but would go to this restaurant when visiting family. Special occasions, funerals ect.. the food and atmosphere as I remember were always amazing. Recently came back this weekend and had the Sicilian pizza. Absolutely amazing. The restaurant has been updated but still has the charm.

superior level pizza, it's been a stalwart in the pizza game for decades, and they never disappoint. this particular visit I went with their pazzo pie, one of the deep dish versions offered, so good, if you're looking for a Chicago style, this isn't it, but so far above anything around, we'll worth the trip.

2022~ate dinner in the newly, spacious renovated restaurant. The dining room allows for a great flow of service and accomodating customers comfortably. Had the Veal Chop special, out of this world delicious, grilled to perfection and served with stuffed cherry tomatoes served on a wood cutting board! You can never go wrong dining at Umberto's! Our pizza appetizers were a melange of sublime flavors.

Without question the best pizza with robust flavor, crispy crust, and abundant cheese. The original location in New Hyde Park has steadily grown in size to include both indoor and outdoor dining. Coming here for over 50 years, I find Umberto's to be what I compare all others. Not saying you can't find good pizza elsewhere, on the contrary, it is just the fact it isn't Umberto's. My favorite is their Sicilian; however, Grandma's is fast gaining ground along with their variety of toppings. When you think of New York Pizza, it just doesn't get any better.

Best pizza in Long Island is a given. They also have amazing dinners as well. Great place all around.

Incredible food, not just the best pizza!

The best pizza in New Hyde Park hands down! The regular slice I would rate a solid 8, the grandma slice a 8.5 and their best slice is the Sicilian a 9 which is super crispy. Their pizza is good even to go, we order delivery all the time. The penne vodka is some the best around. Highly recommend!

Very nice establishment. The pizza and calamari was amazing. Real friendly folk over here. Plenty of parking available too.
