Huntley Taverne

I was impressed with this restaurant, we enjoyed the food as well as the ambiance and service. I came for a business lunch. Ate inside the porch area that was enclosed. I thought the service was very good in terms of attentiveness. The food we got was flat bread pizza for appetizer, pepperoni with hot honey was delicious. The burger tasted great cooked perfectly when I ordered a medium, presentation was nice as I ordered a salad instead of French fries. Most importantly they had Aqua Pana for water. I did think the prices were a bit inflated and expensive however their service made up for it.

Love Huntley Taverne. Used to come here for business dinners prior to the pandemic, and forgot about the wonderful the food, service and dining room. The tuna tartare appetizer was fresh, tho a tad salty. Chicken Cobb salad was filling and more than enough for brunch.

We had three entrées:
Scallops (5 stars),
Short ribs, (5),
Filet Mignon (only 4 stars) because it needed seasoning. It needed a more v salted crust.
The side dish of rot kohl, red cabbage, was also tasty, but could have been so much better had they seasoned more.

Next time I go, and we will go again, I'll try the scallops.

Starters we had the rolls, expensive, but good.
Creamy Burrata was outstanding.

Desserts were a good a they get.
We had the sunday, premium ice cream with stuff, excellent.
The chocolate cream pie was great. Chocolate filling was perfect, dark chocolate, not too sweet. Cream perfect too, not too sweet. Crust was a bit too stuff, not flaky like it could have been better. But again, chocolate and cream were perfect, so I'd certainly get it again.

Service was great. Ambiance was perfect.

Great place for special date or family or even flying solo at the bar.

For years I have heard about this place and the great meals it serves up. I finally had the opportunity to eat here as part of a lunch meeting. There was plenty of parking and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. They do a great job advertising all of the local farms that they get their fresh food from. There were a lot of options and it was hard to choose what I wanted to go with. I settled with soup, salad, and salmon. Delicious! Especially the butternut squash soup. Lots of seasonal options. Wonderful service. I look forward to getting back there!

Excellent dinning experience. Truly a farm to plate eatery. Love the apples on the way out. Apps were very fresh. The bread is best we’ve had. That good. Get the pork chop. Trust me. Dessert the peach cobbler is very fresh. Very nice rustic ambiance

Warm, cozy and comfortable atmosphere. We sat in the indoor porch. The service was excellent, Juliana was very attentive and descriptive… she refreshed my martini glass with a frozen one half way through my cocktail!

We went for a ride in the rain and looked for a new place to eat and found the Huntley Tavern. What a great experience ! We sat at a high table near the bar because we didn’t have reservations. The staff was excellent including the hostess . Our server Josh was outstanding and made the dinner simply perfect ! Food was wonderful…salmon and angry shrimp rolls were delicious ….Desserts including the chocolate cream pie was the best ! Anthony the manager was very personable and we will definitely be back soon !

To start, food was wonderful.
Ambience was nice.
Our server Alex wasn’t super attentive, but it seemed like she was vibing.
Overall we were happy to have stopped by.

We had a lively lunch here!
Blood orange Prosecco was bubbly with a nice earthy tone.
Mussels were fresh and the sauce was really nice. Flat bread and burrata were extremely flavorful and the salad and shrimp egg roll were crunchy and fresh.

Will definitely go back!

Upscale and lively restaurant, menu changes often, always delicious. Drinks are made well also.

This was a very nice dinner out. The appetizers were good. The dragon roll was just average. My burger was very good it was done as requested medium rare and was very tasty. The rib eye steak was also very good and done as requested. The monk fish was very tasty . The drink was a new fashion and was prepared very well. We topped off the night with a apple crisp with a spoon of vanilla ice cream.

Thanks to a quick Google search we found this delicious restuarant near the Short Hills Mall and I’m soooo glad we did. Me and my Fiancé are huge foodies so we love to eat out and have nice experiences on Friday nights. This actually exceeded our expectations. Even the way this restuarant answers the phone makes you want to come and dine with them. What made it even better was our waitress, Sydney. She was by far the friendliest waitress we’ve ever had before. She had great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Not to mention, every single thing we ate blew us away. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! We will certainly be back, it’s worth the drive!

Lunch for four on a Sunday afternoon. Ample parking. Music playing, not loud, however requested and received a quieter table due to hearing disability. Appetizers/meals delicious. Service good. Desserts good. Nice experience. Will return.

One of the nicer restaurants in NJ. Would definitely recommend for date night. They have excellent food and a great selection of cocktails. I would recommend their halibut in main course and their burger. For appetizers, the rock shrimp rolls and chicken potstickers were delicious. In flat bread, pepperoni with hot honey was delicious. Do get their bread pudding which is the perfect end to an amazing meal. The service is excellent.

This restaurant consistently delivers high-quality food, great service and a fun vibe! We enjoyed the spinach dip fritters (two orders of these are never a bad idea). We also loved the fried chicken sandwich served with slaw on a brioche bun. And the rose selection was also nice.

Very nice pub style restaurant and bar. Nice menu with a little something for everyone. Not much in the way of brunch with only 3 brunch items offered. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was well prepared and enjoyable.

Had a very enjoyable lunch here. Classics done well. Nice atmosphere too. Bar looked long and comfy definitely suitable for a evening visit when you want good restaurant food with your drinks

Loved this place so much! We went for my friend's birthday and it was my first time in Summit.

The food was impeccable. Our server, Coy, was attentive and funny, making our experience so enjoyable. I recommend the seafood paella, sesame crusted chicken potstickers, and creamy burrata. I will definitely return next time I'm in town.

The atmosphere is always fantastic at Huntley Taverne. We love to sit out in the covered wrap around seating area they have but you can’t go wrong with any table in the restaurant. Food and drinks are great, my wife and I can’t wait to go back!
