If you need a haircut or trim in or around Portsmouth NH there's really no where else to look. The building is wonderful, the haircut was wonderful, the one on one experience was wonderful, and finally Patrick is a delight to be able to chat with while he conducts his expert business. Honestly one of the best hair cut experiences I've ever had. Went the day before my wedding on a whim to just get cleaned up and came out with a haircut that exceeded expectations. The conversation was great and Brass truly is an expert in his craft. Will definitely return next time I'm in the area.

Brass is truly an expert in his field. I have more difficult to cut hair; coarse, thick, and curly - oftentimes proving to be a challenge for a less knowledgeable barber. Not an issue for Brass though. He was able to cut my hair to exactly what I wanted and even corrected some errors that a previous barber had made. His shop is beautiful and we made effortless conversation throughout my time in the chair. I will absolutely be coming back to PCB whenever I need a haircut!

To simply sum up PCB would be to say anywhere else you'll go for a mens cut would be a missed opportunity, by you. I have gone to different stylists on Newbury in Boston, NY and others here in Portsmouth. I'm not exaggerating when say I could tell I had the bet cut of my life before he had even finished. The difference between Patrick (aka Brass) and other barbers is how much he cares - this is a craft for him, not just another cut, and it shows. I will not go anywhere else for cuts as long as its in my control!

An additional plus is that the conversion with Patrick and atmosphere of the shop is a cut above (sorry, it was too easy!). Not only does he have two motorcycles in there (which as a car/bike guy was an immediate win for me), but I had one of the most enjoyable, honest conversations in quite some time.

I relocated to the area in the spring of 2022 and was so fortunate to find Brass and Port City Barbers. He is an incredibly talented barber with impeccable attention to detail. He is a genuinely kind person who goes above and beyond to make certain that you have a great experience every time. Best barber in Portsmouth. I struggled to find a quality cut since moving to the area. Brass is professional, and delivers a consistent hair cut. The shop very clean, one chair and COVID regulations are followed closely. You and Brass are the only ones in the shop. I felt comfortable the entire time. Highly recommend. He can book out a few days so book in advance.

Brass is THE BEST barber I've been to, and no doubt holds the title of best barber in Portsmouth.

But the best part about a cut with Brass is undoubtably the conversation -- always hilarious, entertaining, and sometimes philosophical. Brass is very down to earth and can make anyone feel comfortable in his chair.

I've been getting my haircuts at PCB since I moved to Portsmouth in 2015. Brass is a master of his craft! Very consistent, professional and great value. His shop is one chair, and has a laid back atmosphere for great conversation. Don't expect to get a walk in, his appointments fill up fast which speaks to the quality of haircut you get!

The best Barber on the seacoast! I have lived all over the country and can honestly say Patrick does the best haircuts I’ve ever had. My wife was a cosmetologist and she is very picky about my sons hair and never seems to find someone that can deal with his colic . Patrick has been able to give him a great haircut every time. I’m not one to usually leave reviews unless I’m really impressed. Go see Patrick you won’t be disappointed

I've never had longer hair before, I've just done a buzzcut for over a decade. After quarantining for months, I went to Brass and he killed it. The cut was quick and looked great! He's also a great guy and very personable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good shape-up!

Hands down the best barbershop I have ever been to! I moved to the seacoast a little over a year ago and needed to find a new shop. I was bummed leaving my old place at first but then I got a cut and beard trim from Brass and I was sold. From the very first visit Brass was super personable and treated me like he had known me for years. He is always on time, I have never waited for a cut, and now that he offers booking and payment online it makes the whole process extremely easy and convenient.

I went to Port City Barber for the first time today. My experience was absolutely perfect. The Brass is friendly and held great conversation. I received one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. This place is a gem, I can’t say enough good things. 100% will be back.

Great overall experience. Brass is very detail oriented and knew me by name and how I liked my hair cut after one visit. Always a good conversation when you step into the shop. Online booking and payment make it very convenient. Since all cuts are appointment based I just show up for my cut and Brass is always on time. If you haven't gotten a cut here it's time to give this place a try-you won't go anywhere else.

Brass is the best! I've had some great barbers in my past but they can't hold a candle to Brass's skills. On top of an amazing haircut he did the most epic beard trim i've ever had! Very personable too. I highly recommend Port City Barber Shop next time you're in need of a quality trim!
