Clean, quiet place. Pretty nice. I stopped just because on my way to Boston from Portland for a swim. Just random bucket list kind of activity…but nobody else was out there. Can’t complain about not having company to keep an eye on me over a peaceful break in the woods.

I went fishing here with my son for Mother's Day. It was great per usual. I caught the Only fish that day! Well, out of the 2 of us. My son went back the next day way morning before work and caught his limit!! Beautiful Rainbow trout.
I highly recommend this place.

Packer's is a spectacular place to go fishing, swimming, or simply watch the world go by. Parking is limited but if you snag a spot, it's well worth the trip. Watch osprey, deer, and other wildlife or take a turn going down the rapids on an inner tube. One of Durham's natural gems.

Scenic, quiet and clean. A little further down the road is a great group of trails at Doe Farm.
