The Goods

I love travelling and finding my go to place for the few days I’m in town. The Goods is an amazing bistro/cafe/local goods one stop shop! I wish I was in Portsmouth for weeks bc I was Devastated I could not try the whole menu. What did I eat? The Havana and the Calli wrap and a Pumpkin bagel. What made this place my go to… THE GLUTEN AND DAIRY FREE OPTIONS! The staff were so knowledgeable and were able to make whatever I fancied with GF wraps or bagels (that actually hold the fillings and are mighty tasty) and once home, it reheated fantastically. Reasonably priced, centralized location, and warm and inviting staff. Will make a trip back X

Love this place! I stop here whenever I'm in town. Everything is made from scratch by the chef owner and staff. The baked goods are so fresh and amazing. The blueberry muffin is the best I've ever had. I also had some amazing brioche French toast and a bagel which was so fresh and delicious. Everything is chef-made and so gourmet tasting with high quality ingredients. Also love the organic coffee which is nice and bold. Whenever I'm in the area, I always look forward to coming back to The Goods since this is such an amazing small business where it seems like everything there is made from the with a lot of care and creativity.

Found this place a few days ago and have been three days in a row since. So far I've had the spinach pesto and feta croissant, the little Havana wrap, the shroomelette and the pesto fried rice, and it was all amazing. The barrista is super friendly and he made my visits all the better, I haven't tried everything yet but I'm excited to go back and eat there often!

Had the pleasure of grabbing a bagel sandwich and mocha. The owner is delightful and was very busy with a crowd of people but still made time to ensure everything was tasty and timely. Very pleasant conversation as well. Highly recommend for the quality alone.

I had lunch here for the third time and really loved my sandwich. The Cali wrap with home fries was out of this world. Another great thing about my lunch was being greeted with a smile when I was ordering. The super friendly service in this place is top notch. I will definitely be returning and will continue to recommend this place to my family and friends.

The goods is an amazing hole in the wall that you will not be disappointed with. The atmosphere is light, fun, and alive. The food is to die for, especially my favorite (the little Havana wrap). They have so many gluten free options for my fiancée. The service can take some time when it’s busy but it’s totally worth it. The owner is the nicest and really cares about making sure every customer feels valued! I will continue to eat here till the doors close forever or till the sun explodes haha, whatever comes first.

Amazing service and food! Todd was incredibly kind and didn’t hesitate to check in and make sure everything was to our liking! My friend had coffee from elsewhere with her and he offered to give her a freshen up while we ate, really made us feel welcome!

I don’t think people understand that this is a small, family run business and the Chef/Owner Jacqui works so hard each day to make sure every customer is satisfied with their food and experience. Every single thing is made in house including all the pastries and candies. There is nobody quite like her and her magic touch with people and food is unlike anyplace you’ll find in Downtown Portsmouth. And if you have severe allergies, you’re invited. The lunch is always amazing but the breakfast is unbelievable, dare I say some of the best in town. I love The Goods and I hope it remains a downtown staple for many more years to come. Keep up the great work guys!

Wonderful restaurant and great staff. The overall style of the place is unique and fits perfectly with the Portsmouth atmosphere. The food is wonderful. My wife had the noodle bowl and I had the Shashuka. Both were great! Highly recommend if you are looking for a breakfast/lunch spot with a unique flare to it.

Delicious breakfast foods and coffees! Service was pleasant and prompt even with their limited staff. Would definitely recommend the wraps and breakfast sandwich!

The best coffee we have had on our east coast trip. Great breakfast sandwiches and the French Toast with maple syrup was delicious. Perfectly cooked bacon. Highly recommended.

Brilliant! Often nowadays you dont always feel love in your food, but this place is charming, simple, food with heart. Even my NY bagel was consciously made and had the perfect flavor combination. Its nice when people care about their product. A must to eat here again!

The bagel sandwiches are delicious and very unique. This was such a great stop for a late breakfast.

I love this place! The staff was prompt and friendly, what I call service with a smile! The food is delicious, perfect amount of flavor and freshness. You can tell everything is made fresh in house. I highly recommend the turkey bacon wrap with a cup of the daily soup of the day. This was my first time eating here and I will definitely be back soon!

Best bagel in Portsmouth (literally nyc bagels). Made fresh not too dense much lighter and ny style .so good.
Yes smaller portions but a lot of portsmouth is like that because they use higher quality ingredients.

Great place fore breakfast! Had the honey latte and avocado toast. It was nice to have a chill breakfast and sit outside while enjoying our meal.
