We stayed in a two room suite - the space was very clean and comfortable. All of the staff were extremely helpful and kind. The location is convenient and staying at this inn was peaceful/restful. We will be back next summer!

Everything was excellent ive often stayed at hotels, that offer a decent breakfast for thier guests. However this one in my opinion went above and beyond. They have plenty of options, pancakes, waffles, eggs with cheese (they were delicious) sausage, kielbasa one day, they do have muffins and so much more. Also Annie (I think was her name) Was super nice and sweet. She is the definition of southern hospitality. The hotel was lovely, and i will definitely be staying again.

Excellent service. Clean rooms. They’re dated but they’re nice and cozy. The staff goes the extra mile to make sure you have a comfortable pleasant stay. Food, Walmart, and all kind of services are very close.
Anytime I’m coming to this area. This is where I will be staying.

I'll break this down using google's rating categories.

Overall: 5 stars.

Room: 5. I was a bit weary based on reviews I read previously, but they were all old, and I figured I'd take the chance. I'm glad I did. The room was fine, small, but plenty cozy. As far as motel rooms go, fairly standard. That being said, we couldn't figure out the coffee maker, but the free coffee in the lobby (wasn't amazing, but that's not important - and it's a hotel, not a Starbucks.) more than made up for it. The non-functional coffee maker would be the only reason I may take anything off the rating, but the room was absolutely fine and suited us perfectly. One other thing I read in reviews was that "the shower head was screaming", which based on past experience is a water pressure issue. Changing the massage mode on the shower head stopped the squeak (which was very amusing, we all appreciated your serenade in the shower, shower head thanks for your service)

Service: Based on previous reviews, and the fact that the owners actively monitor this and take time to give feedback on left reviews - I was looking forward to this, because feedback *usually* means they're actively taking steps to improve, and I absolutely appreciate that. The service was absolutely stellar. They let us check in early, which I also very much appreciated. (Took a bit to make sure the room was ready, but hey, at least they checked!)

Walking in we were warmly greeted, she met our dog, she offered him treats, (and let us know they have doggy bags if needed) and as quickly as she could got us checked in. I mentioned we'd have a couple extra cars joining us later in the evening, and she gave us a heads up that a large group was on the way - so parking may be an issue later (It wasn't at all.)

Hands down 5 stars for service. We didn't need much attention as guests, but I'm sure if we had they'd have been met. Thank you guys for this.

Location: On the corner of a large, busy road at an equally large, not very busy intersection. At night, there's almost no traffic. It's neighbors are a big field of nothing, and a distant car dealership. Plenty quiet at night. Parking, which we were "warned" about (I wouldn't even call it a warning, more of a circumstantial heads up) was ample.

About 10 minutes away from some beaches, and downtown. Honestly a great price for what we got, and if we're up in the area again there's a pretty solid chance we'll stay here again.

Thanks for your hospitality, and sorry I took forever to write this! Keep up the great work.

This place was amazing ! We're hoping to get another assignment in this area so we can come back.

The folks that work here are some of the nicest people. Angel, the manager, is great to work with. She's more than happy to help in any way she can.

They definitely make this place feel like home away from home.

You guys rock and I will be sending anyone I know to you if they're coming to the area.

Rob and I both hope to be back soon.

The room was great. I've never seen a kitchenette in a hotel with a garbage disposal or a full size oven. These rooms have both.

Absolutely adored staying here! Everything was very clean and there are tons of accommodations, even going as far as to have stations with doodie bags for guests with pets! The complimentary breakfast has so many options and the whole area smells like fresh muffins it's so nice! Very friendly staff, can't wait to stay there again.

Perfect for what we needed! The staff was excellent, the rooms were clean and had a bit of character that you don’t always get with hotel/motel rooms. Loved that our car could drive right up to the room, and that they are pet friendly. The staff even kept an item that I left behind for me for a week. Very happy I stopped by here!

Cute hotel despite location right off hiway. Staff is delightful— Charles and the rest of the agents were sweet and helpful, as was the manager. We had an issue with our shower and rather than moving us, they worked to resolve the source of the issue without delay. The room was pretty and well cleaned, though the blanket on the bed between the obviously fresh sheets and topper was considerably dirty. I find these aren’t often cleaned as routinely as the rest of the linens or thrown away when they’ve run their course at a lot of hotels and I wish housekeeping staffs would pay more attention to this.

Comfortable, clean rooms. Stayed here a couple of times over the years. Breakfast is decent too as they have waffles and fresh fruit and hot coffee. Def would recommend. The rates are somewhat decent too (depends on the time of year obviously)

Extremely clean, very COURTEOUS staff, Née the manager goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs, first stay was with pup, and last stay girls trip without pup, but was so happy first time, decided to come back… they provide poop bags , room too walk your pup and it’s quiet… Location to main square is just a few minutes away…. Breakfast is juice, coffees, toast muffins etc. works well for a quick bite before heading out… All in all very happy and can’t wait to go back in May !!!! Oh and comfortable beds 😊

Stayed here one night for a wedding. Shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. Air conditioner worked strongly enough, and neighboring rooms were quiet.

Bed was comfortable and we had plenty of power plugs for our various devices. We didn't try the TV or the coffee machine but it's good both are in the room.

Location is right on a main road, and not much in short walking distance, but it's quick enough to drive to other locations.

In the lobby they also had a great breakfast spread (free to guests!) with a variety of options, from fruit and cereal to breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal bars, milk and yogurt.

All in all, a nice spot for a short stay.

I was surprised by an Inn. The staff at the front desk were very nice and fun to chit chat with while we checked in. They also had many suggestions for local things to do.
The room itself was very nice. The room was up to date, lovely art on the walls and a cozy atmosphere. The bathroom was very nice and had a lovely granite look to the shower, towels were fluffy but absorbent (not so fluffy they left fuzz or anything), water was very hot when turned up, everything was up to date and in working order. The bed was comfortable but the pillow was a little too soft for my liking. However, if that is the worst I have to complain about then they are doing well!
The breakfast was what you expect for a continental breakfast with toast, muffins, croissants, fruit, yogurt, juice, boiled eggs, coffee. The best part though was they had a waffle maker and not just syrup but fruit for the waffles as well!
The room was a very fair price for what we got. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone heading to Portsmouth.

I was very pleased with this motel. The service was courteous and efficient. Very friendly and helpful owners. This is why a motel owned and operated are superior to big Franchise. I was travelling from Southwest Florida which I have done for several years. I must say the BEST motel I stayed in. Room was very comfortable and TV selection was great. Location was near I95 and close to Gas and restaurants.

Had a great experience here at this cozy getaway. Loved the amenities of a hotel with the convenience of a motel. The staff was extremely friendly. They had a great outdoor area and my room was clean. Only complaints were beyond the hotels control I'm sure, but I was woken up by some construction nearby. Anyways, free breakfast in the lobby made it all a little easier. Will go back!

We had our smoke detector malfunction, but the staff took excellent care of us. It's a wonderful hotel! Nice rooms with comfortable beds. The free breakfast is awesome! Lots of organic, cage-free, and gluten-free options, plus scrumptious mini Belgian waffles and more.

It was a great surprise even just from driving in. Beautifully decorated from the outside and then we got a very enthusiastic and wonderful welcome from the staff who couldn't be more helpful. We were given a menu for a local pizza place and were offered the tables usually used for breakfast for us to relax at while eating (as our son was asleep in the room with the monitor on). The room itself was spacious, with a huge bed and nicely done bathroom. Toiletries were provided. A great night's sleep later and breakfast was very good spread with toast, muffins, cereal, yogurt, a make your own waffle station and bean to cup coffee. A wonderful time and a great surprise of a place.

Very quaint and a bit romantic. The only available single was a King, and it was probably one of the best beds I've ever slept on. The room was pretty chilly at first because baseboard heaters take a while to warm up, but I didn't book ahead of time so they weren't expecting me. Everything was clean, and had nice personal touches and character. I was road tripping from Atlanta to Canada for a new job, and this hotel had the best breakfast BY FAR. Delicious, fresh, and lots of options. There's also an amazing diner across the street, if you prefer a personalized breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

I just stayed here for a night and it was marvelous. The room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice including sausages and omelette. The front desk staff were very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. One of the staff, Carol, went out of her way to introduce us to the local sights and sounds. We even got a coupon to the local outlet from her when we left! True hospitality and I recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Portsmouth.
