The Man Cave

Oh my God! So refreshing. Wife and I came to the area for the weekend. Desperately needed a cut. Found them on Google. I have never found a place or a stylist that paid such attention to detail. The owner gave my wife a goodie bag with lip gloss, a rose and cute little panties. Bravo! We will be making the trip every 6 weeks or so just because the experience was so personal. We will be taking the hour and a half ride! Grab some lunch and get a trim. Thank you!

The Mancave is my go to spot. I have been going to Sheila (owner) for over 2 years now, I can personally say she is hands down the best barber I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is very a genuine person with a great sense of humor who just wants to give the best service she can provide. Around Christmas time she was booked, so I had to go somewhere else. Of course, they ruined my haircut. I walked into the Mancave hoping Sheila could fix me up even with her busy schedule, and she was happy to do so. I cannot recommend the Mancave more for a client, or for someone trying to work at a great barbershop.

I have been getting my haircut here for about six years. Before I discovered Sheila, I had been going from place to place around town and it was very hard to find a decent haircut. Ever since my first haircut here I have been more than satisfied. Sheila is very professional and very talented, and making appointments is so easy. She always gets my haircut right and she has so many good products to offer for the care of it. I have even started to bring my four year old son to get his cuts and he loves it too.

This is a fantastic place to come for a fantastic haircut, shave, and a beer at a great price. Highly recommend.

Make sure you book online early since Sheila is in high demand and books up quickly and walk-ins are almost impossible. If that's not the sign of a great stylist, I don't know what is!

I've been here twice now. Sheila is friendly and really easy to get along with, and more importantly, super talented at her craft. Great haircut both times. This is my place now. She's great at what she does and I'm not the only one that's noticed this. You should schedule first. I don't like calling to schedule haircuts--some weird man aversion like asking for directions--but her online booking system is super convenient and just my style. Has a good lineup of top notch man hair and shave products to buy, too. Do yourself a favor and avoid the mistake I made by going to other nearby places before going here.

Been seeing Sheila for 3 or 4 years now. Never had any issue, and always love my cut. Super clean in the shop and Sheila is always incredibly friendly. Truly the best place in town, which is why I keep going back! New location is also huge!

This place is amazing! Talia gave me a haircut and was SO ENTHUSIASTIC the whole time...it felt like I had my own personal cheerleader. She did an awesome job and I left feeling better about my hair than I had in years. Will definitely be visiting again soon! 11/10 stars.

Have seen Sheila here several times now, and have always had a great experience. She is warm and friendly, but most importantly, gives a great haircut. I usually let her trim my beard and she has never done anything offensive with the line. She gives sharp fades that aren't missing any angles. She even offers a complimentary drink with every cut, and not just a crappy light beer! Last time I went she had Gentleman Jack.

I have been coming to the man cave and getting my haircut by shiela for almost five years and am long overdue for a review. Appointments are easy to book online and walk-ins are usually only a short wait. When you walk in you are always greeted with a warm welcome. If there is a someone still in the chair, Sheila and her staff are always very hospitable and offer clients a beverage while they wait. I have never received anything less than excellent haircut and beard trim...and I am very particular about my beard. I recommend the man cave to anyone new to the sea coast or looking for a great haircut!

Very happy with this establishment and it’s owner. Awesome booking process online (even adds it to your Google calendar) and super easy parking. Great service and a very hospital, local-feeling, energy inside. Sheila is a small business owner who is making it happen in Portsmouth…she runs a fine establishment that has kept me coming back for the better part of a decade. I always call if I’m going to be late…a little curtesy goes a long way. Give it a try, you’ll likely be pleased as well.

I have found my forever barber. I’ve tried many places over the years and I will say the man cave is by far the best. Typically I hate having my hair cut but this time I love it, feeling good about a haircut will lift spirits and self confidence. I booked an appointment and went in the wrong day and she spent her lunch hour cutting my hair. I highly recommend this place.

Best barber on the eastern seaboard by far. Returning customer of 6 plus years, consistently the best haircut and service I've ever experienced. Spotlessly clean shop, good conversation, a nice drink with your haircut, the list goes on. You can't fix ugly but a haircut from The Man Cave is the next best thing! Shelia is the best! I have been going to the man cave for 5 years, the new place in Hannaford Plaza is awesome big and clean the decor is really awesome Boston sports pictures everywhere. The hair cuts are high quality and quick. Definitely recommend going there best barber around.
