Poestenkill Gorge Park

Cool waterfall. Pulled into the parking lot to a kid taking bong hit blasting music. Saw some graffiti. A huge mural would be cool . This place is awesome .

A beautiful waterfall in a lovely natural sanctuary. Unfortunately its a holiday weekend and there is confetti everywhere. But it's still a *gorgeous* spot.

Very active waterfall. Usually there are lots of people here but we came early so it was nice and quiet.

Amazing place to be during a sunny day. Not many know about thus hidden gem. Great place to be with kids.

This trail is about 600m..you aren't suppose to verge off the trail to go into the waterfall but some people do it. It has no trespassing written

It's a small hidden gem in the Rensselaer county. Must visit near RPI.

Short walk (0.3mi round trip) on a well-groomed, mostly flat trail. There is a parking lot for maybe 8 cars, and the trail starts across the field from the lot. You can also see the falls from the lot in spring. There are stairs as part of the trail, which make it wheelchair inaccessible. There is a guard rail the whole way next to the trail. There is an observation deck in the middle, but not at the end closest to the falls. Do NOT go off the trails or swim here, it is incredibly dangerous, lots of people have had to be rescued. The best season to go in is clearly spring, when leaves are not obscuring the view and the rains make the falls impressive. Nice local gem!

What a view! Great park. The wood railings could use a bit of work and the viewing platform is shut down but if you're willing to go around and get down to the gorge its a pretty impressive waterfall for something so close to downtown troy.

It is certainly a very nice place to have a short hike. The official trail is pretty short. But there are some people who go down into the gorge to have a better time. Highly recommended for anyone in the area.

An amazing sight, hidden but worth seeking.

Walked down to see if I could get some photos during the tail of the warmer days before the Artic chill. Took a few, but i got cold. Water was flowin' hard

Like the new chairs at the bottom of the hill.. nice addition to a beautiful spot.
