This bookstore is a go-to stop for me when in Oconomowoc. It's a treasure of a bookstore that features SO many wonderful books and magazines. There are plenty of staff recommendations, too, so book fans get assistance when searching for the perfect read. They host author events and support indie authors!

I needed a popular book for a birthday gift and they had it. I even got it gift wrapped for free! Love the wonderful displays in this store and helpful employees. So much to offer and such a fun place to shop! :)

Best independent bookstore ever! If you are looking for a haven in Lake Country this charming store is the place! With a large selection and variety there is something for everyone! If you don't find what you are looking for the staff is full of recommendations or happy to order in things to fit your needs. I've been coming here ever since I was a little girl and it is still my favorite place in the community to relax, learn, and connect!

My favorite indie bookstore in Wisconsin. Clean, great selection, and friendly service. They also sell a number of cute bookish items. It’s a must-visit if you’re in the area. Not to mention Bruegger's Bagels, who has amazing breakfast sandwiches, is right next door! 😉

My 17 year-old daughter who is an avid reader really liked this place on our first visit she ended up with an armful of books. It was really nice to see local authors and I was impressed with the authors that they have planned to come for discussions and the personal reviews from the staff.

I feel so fortunate to have shopped here. Books & Company has the perfect proximity to Oconomowoc Hospital, but more importantly, the perfect selection of on-point cancer books. Without knowing where to begin, I trusted their store to have options after a hospital visit, and they didn't disappoint. They nailed it! I walked in and found their cancer section, and was able to find the perfect book for our situation without being overwhelmed or mislead. The books were spot on, and I walked out with confidence that what I chose was relevant and helpful. After reading and rereading these books (especially one in particular), I can still say months later that I know I have the best book available on this topic, and I have this awesome local bookstore to thank. I had no idea what I had needed going in, but in hind sight I now know I bought the best book from the start. Thank you, Books & Company for being stocked and informed and relevant to your clientele. Such an awesome experience! I went in looking to purchase some gifts for my 20 year old twins, it’s their birthday! Jewell was incredible and helped me pick out the gifts and she wrapped them! Amazing customer service by Jewell!

An incredible bookstore. It has a great selection, a very knowledgeable staff, and excellent ever-changing displays. It’s warm and cozy, and it’s connected to an awesome coffee show! I love stopping in to peruse on the weekends with a cup of coffee. I always find a great book!

This has been my happy place for many years. I grew up here; waiting in-line for midnight book releases, stopping in countless times for last-minute gifts for my bibliophilic family, and all my favorite summer days when my mom would treat me to lunch and let me pick out my next book. I’ve never left this magical little store disappointed or empty-handed, often due to Ken’s consistently great and passionate recommendations when I can’t make up my mind. I am forever thankful for this peaceful little shop.
