I firmly believe the team here would do a great job representing a seller but our experience was different representing us as buyers.
They spent a huge amount of time showing us houses in person, we were honestly impressed with that.

Near the end, we got two phone calls to tell us how “difficult” we were as clients although multiple times we failed to win contracts (although we were highest offer 3 times). We received consistently bad advice (although I realize this could mostly be due to luck, nobody is right all of the time). We received a lot of pressure to make offers we weren’t comfortable with. I realize that the primary motivation for that was to give us a good opportunity to buy a house. Still, it was very uncomfortable. We just felt that the offers we send should have been our decision and not always subject for debate. The worst part of all of this was multiple comments about our level of understanding and education. We understood what is happening in this market, we just refused to get caught in bidding wars. So we were constantly told that we got beat on contracts because we didn’t understand what was happening or weren’t educated enough. Well intentioned as it may have been, it was extremely condescending. That was ultimately the last straw. If you have the money to win bidding wars and you are the type of person to pay excessive premiums if you like a house enough, this situation would work out great for you. We just aren’t those type of people.
