So much larger than we were expecting! We went on October 22nd. The fall color in the trees was just beautiful. We did the outermost trai. We liked that it at times was a little challenging there are a small set of steep steps, some steep inclines and declines and at points on the grassy trail there are small boulders that can trip you so be alert. We stopped a lot to take in different views so the 3.5 miles took us about 80 minutes. As other reviewers have said, signage isn't great. Colors of trail markers don't seem to mean much and sometimes there's a marker and other times you just make an educated guess where to go (private property signs keep you "in bounds" for the most part). We kept left at every choice until we had to go right which gave us the nice big loop of 3.5 miles.

Mostly flat green preserve area that is peaceful with a few big lush trees along the way as well as only a couple wildflowers, (in June)
Clean handicap porta-potty on location.

Great views and sounds of nature surrounding you. Can't ask for more. It's great.

This place is a hidden gem. It has been our saving grace. We come here several times a week for the past 3 months and are usually the only people here, which we love. Love to hike here with my kids. It can be very muddy in spots, which is a plus for us! I could not be more grateful for this place. A peaceful spot for my son to roam free and explore nature. A place for me and my high-school aged girls to reconnect. And a place for me get re-centered.

Lots of asters and grasses and black eyed susans during the fall. It would be nice to have more information on the type of plants.
Sun and shade trails and lots of rocks on the hilly part of the trail path so use caution. There is a pond area and wetland area probably more during spring. I gave it a 5 because it appears to be a work on progress thus has potential to be a 5. No dogs allowed which is disappointing.

A nice little piece of preserved land and I love that they don't allow pets :)

I used to walk these woods when I was younger. I am happy to see that they saved so much of it.

Unique, very biodiverse prairie and oak opening restoration worthy of a visit if you have the inclination.

Signage could be GREATLY improved! Distance of each different trail could be posted as well. There were no maps in the “mail box” that had “maps” as a sign. BUT it was a beautiful area and had a portable toilet…I did NOT use the toilet though!

Got so lost!😳 Trails are marked in so many different directions it's impossible to know which way to go. Numerous forks not marked on "map". Ended up in a driveway that led to a road 2 miles from my car!! Had to walk back on busy roads to get back to the parking lot. Eeek! Be careful....
