What a cute little lighthouse as well as lighthouse keepers cottage turned gift shop. Unfortunately we came during the winter so things were closed but we will certainly be going back. The grounds are very well kept. And the beach and river area are free of litter. You must put this lighthouse on your to do list.

If you are ever in Port Clinton, Ohio, stop at the lighthouse and beach. Well kept park, clean beach and a great spot to walk. Trails are maintained and you can walk out to a point in Lake Erie. Watch the boats! Free parking, no admission charge. Just a short walk to downtown.

I love this place! My husband and I Eloped here on 07/01/22. It’s extremely clean and well kept. lots of places to sit and spread out. I love the dedicated benches. Its never to crowded and it honestly was the perfect little place for us to share our love in front of God and a few friends. You can see the Jet Express go in and out all day. If You want to tour the lighthouse its open on Saturday a few hours and admission is 3 dollars. Perfect to take the little ones because its not a lot of stairs. The boat keeper is the sweetest man and has original artwork for sale of the lighthouse. Dont miss this stop its worth it!

Absolutely beautiful view! We went when it was cold out but the beach looks like an awesome place to swim and the Lighthouse is an absolute must see. Hope to come back during tour times to learn a bit more about it.

Well.. first impressions are like the light house is little small or maybe i hoped it would be a big tower. Nice little park for a walk, beach access area and the bid watching trail inside it. I've visited during the early summer and the park wasn't crowded at all. I was actually surprised on it. The beach area was clean, nice and the benches close to the beach was a huge plus just to dry ourself. I just felt that the beach access area was small but that would be a big concern when the area is crowded. I'll recommend this place and will visit again.

Super cute. There are tours from Memorial Day to Labor Day on Saturday’s I think, purchase advance tickets, per a sign on the lighthouse. It’s a stones throw from the parking lot so if you have wheelchairs, canes, it’s a nice quick, paved walk. There is also beach access. We giggled because we saw people in inner tubes, they looked really far out, they stood up and the water was half way to their knees. There are picnic tables and shade. 👍🏼 It’s a great place if there are lots of age groups in your party.

Saw the lighthouse while driving through Port Clinton and decided to stop. My first impression was that it was not a real lighthouse because it is not very tall. But after reading the historical marker, you find out this was originally located on the river to mark the entrance to it. Then it all makes sense!
We went during the week, but if you visit on a Saturday, then tours of the lighthouse will be available.
The lighthouse sits in a park with a small sandy beach next to it. So this would be a great spot for a picnic and a dip in Lake Erie. There are several picnic tables and benches. There is a a pond with a walkway around it for bird watching.
Very clean park and very well maintained.

Okay dude straight up I liked this place however the light house is small but that's okay because the beach makes this stop worth visiting. I really enjoyed hanging out here for the day and the town itself is really fun too. I'll definitely be back!

Very nice place to visit. The museum was closed to public but we got info from the web to satisfy our curiosities. Learned about the boat ride to the island and the things to do there. Nice beach area and sitting alongside the shoreline.

Nice little park if you're looking for a quick walk along the lake. Lighthouse I was anticipating something larger.

Cute informative place. The light house and boat house were closed because it was off-season. But this place was so charming with many benches to rest on, a meandering bird trail and a clean set of restrooms. The view was amazing, and I loved that we caught it at an uncrowded time!

We went post-season, so I am not sure about tickets. Delightful little place with stunning views. Since we were post-season, there were no crowds, which added to the experience. Light houses probably didn't have too many visitors while in operation.
It was a picture perfect day with lovely views and a peaceful feel.
