Nob Hill Foods

I'm switching from Safeway to Nob Hill! Prices are cheapest around per unit, so you get the best value here. I saved over $100 on my grocery bill compared to Safeway. It's also got a nice layout and clean bathrooms. Never understaffed, and the cashier unloads your cart for you and the baggers pack everything nicely. They have a rewards program as well. And as if that weren't enough, they apparently also have Beer on Tap?? Best grocery store ever!

Many renovations have been made over the years, but still a great supermarket. The ready-made food is a bit pricey for what it is. Perfect stop for a bike ride.

Very nice Asian section. They stock Angelo Pietro Salad dressings and Yamasa soy sauces. These are 2 of my go to sauces for cooking. Great produce department with plenty of selection. Plenty of parking. Very nice and friendly staff.

This is the best grocery store in the area. It's a bit more expensive but the products are good quality. Great wine selection and fresh produce. Also, for Covid, if you go after 9 pm, it's usually pretty empty.

Very clean and neat store, great customer service and overall great selection of products! I come here everyday for lunch and they have many affordable options, I would recommend going to the taco stand, great food and people 😁

This is honestly the best grocery store in the world imo. I lived in RWS for 3 years and I looked forward to going here every time. They carry a great range of quality products at reasonable prices. The employees are so kind, even during the height of the pandemic when things were probably really stressful in the grocery industry. For example, sometimes I would skip the self-checkout just to get in Rico’s line because chatting with him for a short time always made my day a little brighter. Literally every single employee I ever talked to here was awesome. The good vibes in this store are just unmatched. I even loved the little home goods section that changes seasonally. I also don’t know if I will ever find another grocery store that consistently stocks king trumpet mushrooms in bulk! I will miss this store for the rest of my life. I would give Nob Hill 10 stars if I could!

Great place to shop ur local groceries

I shop here a few times a week, and love it. There's little that I can't find here, the occasional specially item, but it is rare that I need to go to a second store. Prices are reasonable and I like their rewards program.

They have been expanding their prepared food selection, and now have a small bar in the front of the store.

The only negative I have is that the sandwiches could be better. They are decent, but could stand some improvement.

I was beyond impressed with the selection and quality of products offered at Nob Hill, especially their prepared foods! It’s the perfect place to go if you want something quick and easy for lunch. They even have a cafe seating area.
Prices are on par with Safeway and Whole Foods - though I wish they had better sales here.
I will definitely be back!

I live right next to the Safeway in Foster City and I go out of my way to come here. It's much less crowded, cleaner than Safeway, and has fresher produce and meat. Prices are all very reasonable too!

My favorite thing about this store: They have a great selection of apples, last time I picked up some Rome Apples for baking and Opal Apples for snacking on. They're also the only store I know that sells my favorite ice cream 😋

This place is great. Great staff that are always knowledgeable and helpful. Wait times are the normally short to check out and they typically always have everything in stock (prior to Covid) but its understandable during these times to be out of items. Sometimes they can be a tad pricey but honestly, for the convenience and ease of shopping there I can overlook the increase in costs for items. 5 stars all day for this place!

Selection is good. Market is very clean. Prices are slightly higher than Trader Joe's. The staff was extremely nice. While I was waiting to be rung up my toddler and preschooler started to complain they were thirsty. I was telling them they have to wait a few minutes until we get in the car when the cashier handed me a complimentary water bottle. So nice of her! I will definitely shop there again!

Excellent place to shop. Produce is fresh, meat counter is very good. Unexpectedly, their store brands hold up extremely well in comparison to brand names, in particular, their cheese. Alcohol selection is very good. Deli is a bit expensive.

A quality super market. I love how everything is arranged in the store. It's very pleasant and offers good quality groceries, wine, cheese, food bar. I also love the little bar they have. With Pharmacy in the store, I only need a 8 minutes drive to get everything I need.

Love this store all the employees are helpful and nice. Fruit and produce is always good and reasonable prices. The meat department is good too and sometimes they have deals you cant pass up. Ive ordered cakes from the bakery and thwy are by far the best!

One of the best grocery stores i've ever been to. On top of being a very well designed grocery store, they have hot and ready food, a bar with multiple taps (who does that in a grocery store?), and friendly staff (as well as self check-out lanes). The store is well lit and decently sized, and is opened to 11pm for the late night runs.

The service here is AMAZING. When you’ve been shopping here for over 20 years, you get to know the friendly and helpful faces like Lilia, Arik, Mei, and CJ. I love the PRODUCE dept with its fresh and healthy selections which constantly stocks fresh produce. My favorite is the $5 Mondays with the great deals throughout the store and as a Something Extra Member, I get reward vouchers that can be applied towards my next purchase. Great job, Nob Hill.
