This is a wonderful establishment that has really given me an appreciation to the art of floral design and how it can brighten people's lives. The women who work here are incredibly kind and helpful to any customer and flexible to whatever their needs are.

If you come to the shop and don't have a full idea of what you want, they will creatively workshop with your preferences and help you figure out what you want and will be satisfied with. I had them make some arrangements for my mother, and their creativity gave me some ideas as to the next time I order something for her.

They work tirelessly to meet the demands of the day. If anything goes wrong with a flower arrangement like if a flower breaks, they will have a replacement flower in no time flat to fix it up. During busy seasons like Valentine's and Mother's Day, they are always up to the challenge with the numerous arrangements to create and deliver.

I have a deep respect for the people who work at this shop. They have brought joy to countless regulars and newcomers alike with timely deliveries and pickups. I can't imagine a better crew of artisans to work with in this field.

We recently used Burke Florist for our wedding and are so happy with the results! My bouquet was absolutely beautiful and the tables designs were stunning as well. Knowing very little about flowers and table design, my husband trusted Burke Florist to create something beautiful for us with little direction and they delivered beyond our expectations. 10/10 I would recommend Burke Florist to any Bride who wants a beautiful design she doesnt need to stress about!

We would 100% recommend Kim and Burke Florist! Kim was amazing to work with and had so many great suggestions for our florals for our wedding. She knew exactly what we were envisioning for the wedding and the florals were even better on the day of the wedding than we had imagined! We received so many compliments from guests. As a side note, the florals lasted beyond the wedding, as we were able to re-use the centerpieces for a post-wedding event we had the next day! Wonderful product and truly lovely people! A dear friend lost her beloved dog and I wanted to send her a plant with a card since due to COVID we couldn't be together. I called on a Thursday and Burke Florist talked through options with me and I ended up choosing a succulent arrangement. They choose a beautiful and appropriate card and hand wrote my sentiment. It was delivered the next day and she absolutely loved it. The planting was huge - she said it was amazing and they even included a cute little bird in the plant which was her favorite touch. For the cost, I was very impressed with the product she received. I would highly recommend this shop.

Burke Florist is a great local shop. I ordered flowers this past weekend and they were beautiful. The staff was very friendly as well. I highly recommend this florist!!!

I highly recommend Burke Florist. I had never used a florist before my wedding, so I really had no idea what to expect. I had done a lot of research online for a local florist that would deliver and has affordable prices. I didn't even realize that I needed to schedule an appointment, so I just waltzed in one day. Denise was very accommodating towards me and took the time to speak with me about my wedding flowers even though she was clearly busy and I had no appointment. She provided me with her contact info and we corresponded via email, which was most convenient for me. She asked me for a photo of what I envisioned as my wedding centerpieces and quickly drew up a proposal of pricing. I was shocked at how affordable it was based on some of the other florist websites I came across! Flash forward to the wedding day (which I should mention was one month away from when I first met Denise). Denise had the flowers delivered on time to both the ceremony and the reception and they were absolutely perfect! She had taken my idea and improved upon it and the flowers were a huge hit. I HIGHLY recommend Burke Florist for your next event, you won't be disappointed!

Burke florist provided the most beautiful flowers for our daughter's wedding in 2019. (I know, this is kind of a late review lol.) The styles, colors, designs, textures, and shapes were amazing and exceeded our highest expectations. We worked with Katie who gave us amazing customer service and was responsive and accommodating to all of our requests throughout the planning process. The delivery and set up process was seamless and we had no worries on the day of the wedding. We used many of the flowers at the brunch we held at a different hotel the next morning. Luckily some friends and some of the wedding party helped transport the flowers from the wedding reception venue to the hotel. The arrangements and swags were too beautiful not to re-use. Finally, those flowers adorned our houses for quite a while after all the wedding excitement had settled down. When I look at their wedding photos sometimes still the beauty of the flowers takes my breath away!

Burke Florist was recommended to me by and friend - and I was not disappointed! Denise was wonderful to work with for our wedding flowers. We were on a tight budget and she was totally willing and flexible to work with us on this. More importantly, the flowers (bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, table and cake flowers) were all exquisite. We got married on a Sunday (when the store was closed) so I picked up on Saturday and everything was perfect. I will not hesitate to recommend Burke Florist to anyone I talk to who is in need of flowers!

My husband and I were married on July 25, 2015 and used Burke Florist for all of our floral arrangements. Compared to other vendors in the DC area, they were by far the best value. Denise was an absolute pleasure to work with - very down to earth, attentive, and knowledgeable about what arrangements would work best for your taste and budget. The bridesmaids bouquets were beautiful - simple yet elegant, and mine was able to include all of the types of flowers I wanted without looking mismatched or overstated. The centerpieces at our reception were all beautiful as well; just what we wanted! Lastly, the service was excellent. We had our ceremony and reception at different places(the ceremony was at a church nestled in the middle of a college campus while the reception was held at a busy downtown venue) - and each had conflicting timetables for delivery on the day of. This made me a little nervous because I would not be at either place to receive the flowers if there were a problem. No matter! Denise was able to accommodate both without reservation. All arrangements were delivered to the church and reception on time without issue.

One thing I would say is that they are slightly difficult to find, being located near the back of the Burke shopping center near George Mason (so get there early if you are scheduling an appointment). Other than that, I have no negative feedback or constructive criticism to report about Burke Florist and am SO thankful we chose to work with them! Will definitely use them again for future floral needs.

I would highly recommend Burke Florist! I called from Oklahoma, hoping they could deliver flowers to a family member in the hospital there in Fairfax. Denise suggested several options of high-quality flowers (no cheapie, filler flowers here!), for a very reasonable rate. I was thrilled and greatly appreciated the options. Their deliveries were already done for the day (it was late in the afternoon when I called), but they delivered them to the hospital within an hour! I was shocked and so grateful. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to others. You won't be disappointed!

Burke Florist did the flowers for my wedding and they were absolutely beautiful!!! Denise was so easy to work with - she helped me pick out all of the flowers for my bouquet because I had no clue what I was doing. Their prices are very reasonable and I definitely got my money's worth. i would definitely recommend Burke Florist for any occasion!!!

I needed a custom arrangement for my mother's funeral. I hadn't been in town but went in at 10 am on a Friday and asked if they could do something by noon. They gave me options, let me pick the basket, flowers, and price. They made a beautiful arrangement with lilies, carnations, baby's breath, and greenery. It got many compliments at the service and I enjoyed it for over a week afterward. I really appreciated their willingness to do something quickly for me.

I have to admit, I have struggled finding a decent florists in the DC area. Dealing from overseas, I felt some have taken advantage of this and I have been left bitterly disappointed with the service. With one florist and their "recipe" I felt completely ripped off and disgusted at their behaviour.

My brother came to my rescue and recommended Burke Florist, a brilliant recommendation! Prompt, professional and friendly. Dealing with Denise was fantastic and she was ever so helpful. Would highly recommend and they will have my business going forward.

When I ordered my flowers, I was very specific about wanting my wife to say "WOW" when she answered the door. Burke was able to accomplish that. Thank you. My INITIAL rating was low since I also requested a very colorful arrangement (and, I was willing to pay for it $100+) and yet, the biggest flowers are white ones. Its the first thing I see when looking at the arrangement. I contacted the florist and she told me that she wanted the colors to stand out as contrasted with the white; I understand that. But, it is not at all what I asked for. A simple phone call could have clarified everything.

I just had a conversation with Denise the owner. Her follow-up to my dissatisfaction was prompt and professional. She made me an offer that I could not refuse. Who could ask for more than that? I will definitely be back to purchase arrangements from Burke Florist. Thank you Denise!
