Foundation Coffee

Visited after conference with friends. Ordered variety of different menus. Tea, coffee, cortado, latte, and etc. with desserts. Baristas were very kind even though they are super busy. Drinks and desserts served very quick, but limited seats for big group. All the drinks and desserts were really good. Definitely will visit again if I have chance to visit DC area.

I’ve been checking out local coffee shops because I just wanted something besides my local Starbucks. Heard about this place from a friend. It’s like a hidden gem. I’ve come to this shopping center so many times and never knew it was here. Great, modern and clean space with lots of tables to work. And a delicious latte! New favorite spot.

This coffee shop is a must-visit! It might be a bit difficult to find since it is located in the back, but the location makes it even more original. The layout is unique, placing the baristas in the center making the coffee orders. I always love going to cafés that create some latte art. The latte and my fruit croissant were delicious. I enjoyed relaxing, sipping on my drink. I will be visiting again!

How I've lived in Fairfax most of my life and never heard of this place before is a travesty. Easily my new favorite coffee shop in area. The staff was friendly, the coffee and pastry I had were both out of this world, and the interior design is really cozy.

Also that pastry selection is just, wow, so many delicious looking options. So go wander down an alleyway and find yourself in a coffee paradise.

I love this coffee shop! Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a place to study and/or work.

It's clean and spacious, and the staff was nice and friendly. I ordered two cups of coffee, and they both were so good. I appreciated the variations of pastries and desserts, but the ones I tried were quite dry. Other than that, I really enjoyed this place!

nice cafe ! pour over is a little expensive but i understand that the time commitment is significant - my americano was good, there's plenty of seating + a section that seems intuitively designed for laptopwork. easy to miss because it's behind the shopping center but worth a visit!

Such a cute hidden gem! Located at the back of Fair City Mall, it’s a very calm and minimal coffee shop. There’s a few pastries to choose from and a simplistic menu with the coffee essentials. There’s also a few kinds of tea options as well! I had a vanilla latte with oat milk and I loved their melon milk bread! It would be a great place to work or meet up with friends!

I heard lots of good things about this coffee shop so I decided to visit here. I am very picky about sweets and coffee in general. I loved their coffee!! Their cheesecake and scone were really good, too. Inside was beautiful! I definitely will visit here again!

So far, one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever visited. The atmosphere here is so calming and nice. It is a perfect spot for getting the work done. The coffee here are very delicious with a wide variety of options ranging from simple pour-overs to authentic lattes. The pastries here super delicious as well with different types of tarts and cheesecake. My favorite one is egg tart. Let alone the very great and respectful staff members. This is definitely the spot for a nice cup of coffee. I definitely recommend going there and bare in mind that the spot is behind the shopping center as the map takes you to the center.

What a perfect spot! The cafe is cute and clean, service is quite fast, and there is plenty of seating. The coffee is delicious but the real star to me is the strawberry cake. I can not emphasize enough how amazing the strawberry cake is. It is fresh, moist, and perfectly sweet. It puts me in mind of walking through a strawberry field on a beautiful Summer day, and is nothing like that terrible overly sweet artificial flavoring. I will certainly come back, even if it's just for a slice of cake.

Where do I start… this place is the definition of a hidden gem. Literally on the backside of all these shops. I’ve been to the shopping center 50 times and didn’t even see this… found it via Google. Parking can be unique due to the lack of dedicated spots.

What I really love is the vibe. LOTS of seats and great atmosphere. A nice subtle jazz music. Great coffee and staff was friendly. They even have like a stadium seating.

Looking forward to trying the food next time. The pastries look very good. It’s worth it to check it out.

Loved the interior and vibe; spacious and open. The pastries looked good - we got their almond scone and it was different than other scones, crumbly and like a biscuit. The brewed coffee was good as well as their latte. Their matcha latte was a bit on the sweet side.

Excellent coffee roaster place in VA, they have different kinds of pastries. My only comment during my first visit, they over steam the milk which my cortado was not as what I expected, but overall the place has a great potential of becoming one of the best specialty coffee in town.

Ordered their Mocha Latte and really enjoyed it! This place definitely has a unique vibe to it, felt like I was at a library. Would definitely recommend this place.

The pastries in this Korean Bakery are light, layered with complex tastes, and delicious. Coffees and coffee drinks are excellent and handcrafted. A chill vibe for working or conversation. This is my “clean well-lighted place.”

Incredible coffee shop. I drive 30 minutes just to go to this specific one. The warehouse vibes are immaculate and customer service is amazing. Has wifi and lots of outlets for work which is always a great plus.

Absolutely love this place. Brewed coffee is prepared to perfection, their roasted coffee beans are of very high quality offering both single origin and some blends, and they have some great pastries! I love coming here and doing some work on the weekends occasionally and can't speak highly enough of this place.

Roomy. Everyone speaks English! They treat you professionally. Just because it's owned by a particular ethnic group doesn't mean they treat you differently if you aren't of that ethnic group. Everyone is welcome and treated the same. Love it!!! 😍

The coffee, cake and aesthetic of this cafe are amazing. They have options for tea if coffee isn’t your thing along with a variety of baked goods.

It can be pretty crowded with students, so make sure to see if you can snag a seat. That said, it’s pretty quiet for how populated it is. If you have to get work done, this is the place to do so!

Definitely my go to coffee shop in the area. Every thing I've had to eat and drink here has been great, and their freshly roasted beans are delicious as well. Would highly suggest coming here!
