Every detail about this place is nice! It's so warm and cozy. The staff is friendly. The chai latte, and Cali-Dreamer bagel sandwich was great! We even tried the coconut cold brew. It was delicious! Definitely worth a try!

Really great little coffee shop/lunch spot/breakfast place! The new owners have done a wonderful job of thoughtfully setting up the space. There are outlets at each seating area, so you can easily plug in your laptop to get some work done. The window seat area even has a couple electrical outlets. Free WiFi. Great service! The plants add a nice touch to the space as well. It's usually pretty easy to find a parking spot on the street. There are also outdoor tables and benches, and a dog bowl of water outside. Highly recommend the Church Hill iced coffee here. You can also use their gift cards at Liberty Public House since they're owned by the same people. Love that they decided to do that!

I come here a couple times a week in the morning, have hung out doing some work in the afternoons. It’s always an enjoyable experience with fresh coffee and friendly service members, relaxing vibe. I look forward to swinging by in the morning. Highly recommend!

I got a canela latte and an everything bagel with cream cheese - both were delicious! They have an assortment of sandwiches to choose from if you want a more solid meal and they typically have a small rotating selection of pastries. They also have SO many different syrups and alternative milks to truly customize your drink. And that’s on top of having specialty lattes every season!

The staff is so kind and attentive. They greet you with a smile, make nice conversation, and you can hear them laughing while they work so you can tell they’re happy (at least in the moment!). The atmosphere is fantastic - it’s calming and not too loud. I saw many people working on their laptops while they sipped and ate.

Overall, I’ll definitely return once their holiday menu drops!

Great local spot. Coffee was crisp and tasty, but the bagel took the top spot. I opted for ‘The Captain’. Lox, cream cheese, onion and capers. Everything in the proper proportions and all complimented one another. Was an amazing experience. I’d highly recommend this little joint simply for the quaint, simplistic decor, but they back it up with great quality fare. A+. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait to try more soon!

The staff was very accommodating today and I appreciate their kindness and hard work. This is my go-to spot when I'm in the area, only wish there was more indoor seating. Drinks are incredible.

I think this is one of the most underrated spots in Richmond for sandwiches.

I also need to shout out the staff there because they both rule AND know the two most important things that all coffee shop employees should know which are:
1. How to handle a rush like a well oiled machine.
2. How to talk to people like human beings.

So yeah Rivvybendy (my name for them. Say it in Pauly Shore voice) has a similar vibe as LPH (who also rules and I think owns them) in that it points to whomever is doing the hiring knowing how to find great people. As an old I appreciate that the staff spans a range of ages outside of 20-23 and isn’t comprised solely of cloned VCU students who majored in eye rolling.

I will say the name of the place that used to occupy the space, Captain Buzzy’s, was a way tighter name and was more fun to say, but in a town that celebrates every new subversive snake-themed food establishment or cafe that refuses to use vowels Riverbend is a breath of fresh coffee flavored air. No gimmicks. No egos. Just really good food, drink and positive vibes.

Everything was super cute about this coffee shop. Their iced coffee was good and they offer oatmilk at no extra cost.

I'm visiting from Seattle and really needed something besides dessert for breakfast, and this was the right choice. I got the veggie sandwich and added an egg. It was perfect! For my chaser, I got an iced pumpkin spice latte and it's mild, earthy, and not too sweet. Fabulous! Their credit card machine was down, but I was on a time crunch and had ran uphill to get here, so I was sweaty and frantic, missed the sign, was a pain in their butt with my order, but the barista was so kind and helped me out. *THANK YOU*

Stopped by here while I was in town and really enjoyed it! I got a cold brew with oat milk and lavender syrup and I enjoyed it. The place is super cute and I could totally see myself sitting here and working for a while. Plus the barista that helped us out was really friendly! Recommend.

One bonus is that they stay open until 6 pm, so you can enjoy a coffee at leisure in the afternoon.

Very cute, bright, plant-filled coffee shop! Fast and friendly service and delicious coffee drinks. I had a Veg Head sandwich that tasted fresh with lots of veggies and soft, fresh bread. For coffee I opted for a soy latte with lots of spices in it (forget the name but it was one of the speciality lattes). Will definitely be back!!

Love this place! We have become regulars here, it’s a critical piece of our weekend routine! Highly recommend the veg head and cheese and egg breakfast sandwich. Best coffee in church hill by far, we like the chai latte and the almond joy drinks. Must try if you are in the neighborhood!

Trying out a new coffee shop today and I definitely picked the right place. I got a dirty pumpkin spice chai latte, an orange scone recommended by the staff, and a bagel sandwich. It’s a very cozy shop with chill music and kind staff. They even brought my drink and food to my table!

The only note I really have is that the seating could be more comfy, every table is connected by a wooden bench and there are pillows to use, but I wouldn’t spend a long time sitting here for this reason.

I will definitely be back to get a coffee and a scone in the future :)

Home to the BEST chai latte in Richmond (and possibly the state of Virginia). Their sandwiches are also delicious and reasonably priced--I especially recommend their peaches and cream one. Finally, the space is beautiful and well-lit, with plenty of outlets so people can work and enjoy the ambiance of the space.

Love the cold brew with coffee cubes! Really kind people work here plus it’s walking distance from all the church hill parks, etc. Definitely go here if you’re tryna support local and get a quality brew.

i stumbled upon this coffee shop while walking around Church Hill and it is such a hidden gem!

The space is like vintage but modern at the same time, and I love how they designed the high top tables on a long bench to give us remote workers plenty of space to work and enjoy a coffee. BUT it’s also very welcoming to a family coming for breakfast or friends meeting to play board games. The coffee is top tier and i’m slightly obsessed the breakfast sandwiches. Or maybe it’s the bacon that i love… i’m not sure!

And finally the staff is super sweet, they always make me feel like a million bucks and they seem to know everyone in the neighborhood by name. This place feels like walking into your grandma’s kitchen and i hope it is here in RVA for the long haul!
