It’s not often anymore, you walk into a store and with a friendly smile and kind words. Here’s the exception. Doesn’t hurt it smells amazing as soon as the door opens. Going back to try the food for sure.

A couple weeks ago, Annette's special was chili. We had somewhere to go & would get it when we got back. She said she would save us an order as she didn't think it would be there. True to her word, sold out before we got back. Luckily she had ours! So good chili & corn bread ever. Shawn is a great guy too. So pleasant & Annette is such a good cook. Check then out!!!

Let me just say, I love a friendly corner store! The women in the back at the deli always serves great food options that are fresh and hot. I love coming by on my lunch break for something new.

Great place. Friendly owners and staff. Solid beer selection. Annette at the deli counter makes some delicious food and she is a gem of a person too.

First time going to this market/deli. Had the 3 piece fish meal. She cooked it while I waited. It was delicious. Im glad to have found this home cooking within walking distance.

It's a corner store.
That said, they do hot food as well and the make a mean gyro.
Not kidding, the food is good and super reasonable.

I rate things based on their category. A nice little market with a good variety and reasonable prices. ASK FOR TOOTHPASTE if you need it. Like a true male I looked for 15 minutes, gave up, and asked the clerk. ITS BEHIND THE COUNTER. 😂 But my idiocy aside, nice little place and open late! I'm gonna try breakfast at their restaurant it smelled amazing and made me want hot wings at 9:30 at night.

I have been going to Clay Street market regularly since moving a few blocks away. It is a great stop for small necessities that cannot wait for a trip to the grocery store or pharmacy. They also have premade food that looks pretty delicious and food prepared on site, but I have not yet had an opportunity to try them.

Love these guys. They are my one-stop shop for essentials on the go. Great hear and bev selections, all the snacks, and a kind, welcoming staff. There's no one in Church Hill I'd rather give my money to.

Great hole in a wall spot, that has everything you can ask for. The food is on point especially when Pops is on the grill. Do not allow others to sway you from missing out on a great experience.

Dumb lucky to live half a block from these guys !! The lady in the kitchen is a gem.
Reminds me of my 6 years living in Harlem, a little bit of uptown bodega in Church Hill

One of the best hidden secrets in Churchill.The philly cheese steak sub & fries are awesome!! They also have a great selection of Virginia beers and other selections.

Clay Street Market is an institution in Church Hill. It is an excellent corner store that was here when Church Hill was a food desert and remains as relevant today. The owners are staff are polite and friendly and continue to be a part of our weekly routine.

Today was my first day eating here and I tried the fish platter....... AWESOME🤩🤩🤩!!!!! You won't be disappointed believe me.

Great convenience store on the Hill. They cook up great burgers and cheesesteaks in the back at good prices.
Good beer selection too.

They are family as far as I'm concerned oh and the hot food in the back is so good!

The restaurant was beautiful and not too pricey for lunch. I'd go back for sure if I'm ever in the area again.

Get the philly cheese steak!!! Also they're awesome and they've got all your beer and convenience store needs!
