This is the best and most honest garage I've ever been to, hands down. I have been here many times and have never had a bad experience. If Salam tells me my car needs something significant, I know that it truly does, because when it doesn't, he tells me, rather than lying or upselling to make more money. I have never had a recurring issue after he's done a repair. Excellent skill and care, great customer service. I would give him 6 stars if I could, he's the best!

When I recently needed BOTH mechanical and body work on my car, I went to Royal Gas & Auto Repair. I could not have been more pleased. The name of the shop is appropriate since Salam treated me like royalty and returned my car looking terrific. I felt like I was driving a new vehicle. Salam is friendly and professional. He genuinely cares about his customers. We will be using his services for all necessary auto maintenance in the future.

Last week my minivan shut off on 495 S. in rush hour traffic, while waiting 5 hours for a tow, I called Mechanic Salaam, 5min. from G.M. Univ., who eventually hosted me honorably on arrival. Salam at Royal Gas and Auto Service was an exceptional help to me in a panicked moment. My car shuddered to a stop on the interstate in heavy traffic - I towed (via Georgetown Towing, who I also highly recommend!) it to a mechanic I had previously worked with. This person I thought I trusted asked me to pay $2600 for basic fixes and charged me a $178 diagnostic fee. I thought I was going to have to give up my car.

I told them I couldn’t afford to pay that and called 4 new mechanics & got 4 different outrageous prices. I was then recommended by AK at Georgetown Towing to call Salam - we talked and I didn’t hesitate to do business with him. He didn’t try to charge me for things I couldn’t afford/didn’t need right then and there, nor did he charge a fee to look at the car. He provided excellent, fast work and was by far the fairest price in the DMV area.

I will begin taking my car here for repairs and basic maintenance, and encourage you to so, too!

The Mechanic is honest. Dealer found many issues and asked for thousands. He repaired for under a thousand.

Efficient and fast service. Highly professional and most importantly they are not greedy. Their prices are the best in the area! The new owner of the auto repair shop is a brilliant mechanic who seems extremely passionate about his job. He changed my tires, fixed all the issues I had in my car in less than 2 hours! I’ve had a bad experience at this shop with the previous management but thought I’d give them another chance after I learned that management has changed. I know now that I won’t be going elsewhere for my future repairs.

Took my vehicle to Salam and he took care of a minor repair on my AC where other shop tried to replace the whole system for 5 times the cost. Here I am four month later and my A/C working perfectly.

I had an unexplained rhythmic drumbeat clunking noise coming from under my car, so I decided to take it to Chris, the mechanic at Royal Gas. Sometimes the best food is found at a dive. Well, this shop may be a dive, but the mechanic is nothing less than an expert at what he does. Just by listening to the sound, he diagnosed my issue right away. It was a cracked flexplate (flywheel). Even though this is a very complex repair, they were willing to start my repair quickly and he finished it in a reasonable time and price. His workmanship was honest and impeccable. The car not only started great, but it also ran a whole lot better in general. He took his time to ensure every nut and bolt was refastened with the correct torque, and everything greased properly. Both the mechanic, Chris, and the owner are very professional. I really appreciate their work and will only return here for all my car repairs.

I had a big adulting moment and went to get my car serviced for the first time (rear left brake light was out). It took 4 minutes from the time I pulled into the shop to when I had to pay.
