I've been going to Dr.D since I was a newborn and I have never had a bad visit. 5 stars

Dr. D is great and I really appreciated her time. We were with her for about 10 mins. We did not use any supplies; no gauze, q-tips, band-aids, etc. I have insurance and have never in my life been billed for a doctor's appointment where we have not needed vaccines or any other type of lab work or treatments. I left the office having written a 90$ check (this place only takes cash and check) for 10 mins of the doctor's time and a prescription that was called in; she didn't even need to use a fancy piece of paper. I was told that the office doesn't bill insurance until I reach my out of pocket; which is 5K. 90$ out of my savings for a follow up appointment. The care was great, but, I simply cannot afford this care and I am middle classed, in a house, both my husband and I have bachelor's degrees. How do people who are at the poverty line afford this care? Also, how can you validate charging some one 90$ for 10 mins?

At first I wasn’t going to leave a review but after speaking to the front desk, my kids will no longer be seen here and they just became new patients on 07/12/2023. Here’s why…
My children’s Pediatrician is Dr. Dionisio. My children have severe eczema and I made this VERY clear when I registered them to this facility. I shown what their previous doctor prescribed because we’ve been through so many trials and nothing would work for them. Fast forward to it being time to refill their prescriptions. I get to the pharmacy and only my daughters was ready (Dr. D did not even send in my sons). On top of this the prescription was the cream and not the ointment for my daughter. This is a big deal because like i stated before we’ve done trials and NOTHING ELSE WORKED it only made things worse. I told Dr. D. She had the audacity to tell me just use what she prescribed. I gave her the benefit of the doubt. By this time i finally received my sons cream and i tried their creams on them. It made things worse I kid you not. I messaged Dr. D and she said she was out of the country and to call back next week. I called today and I reached the front desk. I was trying to tell the front desk what was going on and the lady made it out like it was MY FAULT. Saying, “ maybe your insurance only provides the generic brand, or maybe the pharmacy made a mistake”. That was the straw that broke the camels back for me. She was just listening to reply not actually listening and blaming me and defending Dr. D instead of apologizing. Lady didn’t even know what really happened because she kept interrupting me. My children won’t be returning. Rant over.
