I absolutely love going to The Outer You. They are excellent in everything they do. I now go to Liv & also love Angie. Liv does a fabulous job with my cut, highlight, & style every six weeks. She is detailed, fun & listens to my wishes. My hair always looks polished & professional. Many people ask where I go and end up finding the same excellent service. Even people who have asked me in Richmond now drive here. Liv was trained by Angie and they are both amazing!

Also, I am always grateful how Casey helps get me in with my tight schedule. This salon is extremely professional. They are consistent, listen to my desires, look at new ideas, and keep me in trend. The women in my family went to The Outer You for hair and makeup for my wedding. I actually had my hair lightened by Sarah a few weeks prior and she was so friendly that I knew I had to request her. I showed her a reference and she was able to match it, while staying true to my own style. The level of hospitality was impressive as well; they had prepared snacks and we got to enjoy some great girl time. The one not so good thing I will say is that I had gone the day prior to have my nails done and had an unfortunate experience to say the least. I was late, but the woman who did them had an attitude to the extent that I actually cried and my manicure was done so poorly that I had to have it redone down the street. Suffice to say I would advise that you have your nails done elsewhere. Since I’d had such a good time with Sarah, I was still confident in her abilities for the next day and am glad I returned. I would definitely recommend her services any day!

Two months ago, I pulled my long hair into a forward ponytail and unceremoniously hacked it off with a pair of kitchen scissors. The results were less than stellar (as I'm sure you can imagine), but served it's purpose - my hair was no longer in my face, I didn't have to deal with tangles, and best of all, it no longer got rolled up in my car's seatbelt on a regular basis. However, it also looked like Freddy Krueger had a go at it, so I decided something needed to be done. I called The Outer You and they were able to get me an appointment quickly. When I arrived, I was very pleased and surprised that I didn't have to wait - my stylist (Cassie) took me to her station almost immediately and began to make the best of what I had done. Armed with only a spray bottle, comb, and scissors, she went to work. Less than 15 minutes later, not only did my hair look better, it actually looked good! I will definitely be going back !!!

I have been going to Angie at The Outer You for a little over a year now, and I am always in love with the results. Angie is great at listening when I want a change and always talks through what she wants to do with my hair. She has taken me from a dark blonde all the way back to bright blonde highlights. All the girls at the salon are welcoming and friendly. Angie works wonders with my hair and is also a artist when it comes to updos! I love coming in and feeling confident that I’m going to leave with my hair looking fabulous!

So where do I begin? I had my hair cut at a different salon today and the girl butchered my hair. My sister suggested that I go in and talk to Ritchie. They were really busy but he found time to look at the mess the other salon had created with my hair. He made me feel welcomed and even though I didn't have an appointment, he welcomed me. Everyone in here was so nice. He took care of me without even blinking. This is the only place that I will ever go for hair care. Thanks Ritchie!!!

I like it here, been here quite a few times for hair color and cut. Excellent job. And I mean excellent. Great price to. Only place I will keep going to for my hair. Chick that has done my hair was sweet as can be, and she highlighted it perfect. The platinum blonde I was looking for.

Ritchie saved me years ago from horrific hair color that was turning more orange every day ( a professional job) and a god awful haircut.
I drive 1.5 hours (today in snow) from west of Charlottesville to have him cut and color my hair.
More than worth it. Plus he is one of the best people I have ever met!
