After reading the reviews we were reluctant to stop in but did because of the connivence to our vacation house. We stopped in for milk and they were extremely friendly and even offered help with free island brochures for our stay.

I hate to leave negative reviews, but this place was rough. It was the way they treat their customers. I’m a small business owner. I can’t believe a business curses and talks to customers the way they do. I asked the owner if there were any boxes or bags of sugar for purchase similar to the Sweetner packets I found and held them up. He told me, “If you don’t see it on the shelf then we don’t have it” and didn’t say anything else directly to me. When I pulled up there were two cars already pulled in and I pulled beside them. He started mumbling and said “G D” which makes my skin crawl about me not having any common sense and parking so it was difficult to get to the pump. Which wasn’t true, there was plenty of room and another open pump, too. I was upset the entire morning after my experience with this place.

If there were a ZERO star rating, this place would get it! There is an older man and woman that work there. I'm assuming they are the owners. The woman in particular is the nastiest person quite possibly on the entire island. She has no business being in the customer service industry. She gives our beautiful friendly island a bad reputation. We witnessed her insulting and belittling the early morning flock of landscape/construction workers who stop there to buy their daily coffees and lunches. We were heading out fishing, and buying numerous sandwiches and snacks. She yelled at us for setting our purchases in the wrong area. We were so rattled that we just left our items on the counter and walked out. Never going back again!

From a local: I agree with a previous reviewer who wished there were a ZERO star rating to use for places like this. I was treated terribly by a seriously overweight lady (owner?) with an attitude. After her rude harangues, I told her I wouldn’t come back ever and spend my money at Jesse’s. “We don’t care,” she screamed. Twice. Caveat emptor - there are two other gas stations on the island.

I work on island most of the time and I stop here regularly ( mostly because i don't have a choice) every time I've stopped in the workers are rude and nasty. I love the sandwiches but hate the customer service. It seems like its a bother to them to help you...if you havnt been a long term customer then you might as well be invisable... This place could benift from new workers

Stopped by early in the morning for a cup of coffee. The creamer I put in my coffee was sour but the manager said it was the hot coffee that made it appear to be, gave me a hard time about pouring another cup. The shop was hotter than blazes and I felt sorry for the female worker who was stocking shelves. I couldn't drink the coffee for almost an hour. It wasn't worth the wait 😫

Crooks. The workers are nasty and rude and curse at customers. They charge one price on the sign for gas and more at the pump. They need to learn manners and professionalism
