HCA Florida Blake Hospital

Just like many of you I have heard some of the horror stores about Blake Hospital. However, none of it became true when I was diagnosed with a stroke and ambulance in to the emergency room at Blake .From the second EMS pick me up they’ve done a fantastic job to secure me and you get me there fast Special kudos to one of the EMS employees by of name Daniela she was fantastic. The emergency room personnel start taking care of me and performed several medical tests and procedures I was brought to the intensive care unit and again experienced nothing but the best of care by the nurses at ICU Especially Alexis but so many other also. After two days, I was bought a step down unit and again between Robin Brenda and Faith, and all the other nurses that I don’t remember all their names I have received the absolutely best of care from everybody from doctors to nurses to speech therapist I could not be happier And now I’m back home and I’m almost fully recuperated from a massive stroke. Thank you so much to everybody at Blake Hospital you have done an outstanding Job

My mother visited Blake ER this past Saturday and was extremely pleased with the efficient and professional treatment she received. She has had an ongoing issue that has been difficult to remedy that resulted in her having to visit. She could not say enough about the kind and considerate staff, especially P.A. Corey Lucas. He was a true professional and really knows his stuff. The attitude of Corey and the rest of the staff was above and beyond. Thank you to everyone in the Blake ER for taking such good care of my mother.

On Jan 8, 2024 I had a surgical procedure that went a little wrong. I was awake through the procedure and want to find the nurse who made such a difference in the whole day. She came to pre-op and got me, helped get me on the OR gurney, and stood next to my head through the whole procedure. There were a few frantic minutes and she held my hand and whispered encouragement in my ear. I don't know her name, but I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart! My pre-op nurses were awesome and my post-op nurses, Trish and Julie went above and beyond! I guess I'll be back soon to hopefully get the procedure completed, and hope I'm lucky enough to get to see these wonderful women!!

My husband had a shoulder replacement on Tuesday 1/9/24 - from Robert the concierge to Lisa the discharge nurse, the entire team was fabulous. It was an excellent experience! We appreciate you!

I went to rehab shortly after my leg was amputated I will never forget them coming upstairs To get me. They told me I had to stand up and get in a wheelchair with a lot of help I did. That was the greatest felling in the world. That’s when I met Crystal and Kevin the next day I can’t begin to tell you how great they were or how hard they worked to make sure I was ready to go home. They pushed me every day and I was able to build my muscles up and take care of myself. I would like to thank everyone that took place in my recovery your rehabilitation center is the best

I felt the signs of a stroke coming on.
I the out come has been excellent. I drove myself to the ER- amazing. The staff was on it lightning quick. The outcome is amazing.

The security guard Latonya is outstanding. She cares about patients safety. She goes above and beyond at her job. Thank you for keeping patients safe. Thank you for having a kind heart. Thank you for being amazing you.

The inpatient rehab center is amazing! Luvi (PT) makes my husband to push himself and make him stronger. All the staff were a pleasure, so caring.

My Dad arrive to Blake this past Friday night by ambulance. Dad had been diagnosed with bladder cancer and also found a nodule in his pancreas. After having a pancreatic resection at another hospital, Dad was released about a week later. 5 nights after being released, he was taken to Blake ER where he was treated by Dr. Farmer. After testing, Dr. Farmer thought it would be best to transport him to where Dads surgery had taken place and be under the care of his surgeon. Here we are, two nights later.. Dad is doing well, thanks to Dr. Farmers decision. Dr. Farmer reached out to my family tonight to check on Dad, even saying that he had called the ambulance driver to make sure he made his destination safely. The Healthcare industry NEEDS more Doctors like him! This is truly a man that cares about his patients! My Dad must have weighed heavily on his mind but, I bet all of Dr. Farmers patients do. Thank you for the bottom of our hearts for being the Doctor you are! You have made a difference in our lives.

My experience was exceptional, she was in the 3 South with Ardelle Thomas and her staff, Sonjia, Danielle were very caring, professional and very attentive to my mom, Juanita Hines medical care. Whenever I had questions or concerns they immediately got answered and was very prompt. This was my first experience with Blake and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone needing medical care. Because of this caring team my mom is on a good track for speedy recovery. Thanks to the Bistro staff, Mrs. Yvonne was also exceptional in preparing and assisting in meals for my mom.

I was admitted for emergency surgery. I was a patient for 65 days. The nursing staff is incredible as were the physical therapists, ostomy nurses and wound care nurses.
Drs. Westkawski, and Alteris saved my life.
The care I received was top notch even during the continuing staffing shortage s.
A shout out to housekeeping, food services and transport for jobs well done.
Only complaint is the food. Broth and soup is terrible. So salty and inedible. The gelatin is awful. Unless you like to chew it. Everything is too salty and bland. Needs better choices besides chicken. How about a rotating menu?

One of the better hospitals compared to tgh or manatee memorial. Everything was clean and sanitary, nurses and doctors where attentive and professional. Everyone explained things to me very specifically.. they even gave me a card after my visit signed by everyone who cared for me.

Acute plural effusion . Dr. Alesnik 🆕🌄👁‼💯🎉🎁🎄🎈GODBLESS Blake hospital. Saved me more then once.i went in with a whitebloodcell count of 60,000 it's supposed to be between four and six thousand.im alive!

The surgery team was so pleasant and helpful in anyway they could. My sister stayed for the surgery and she was checked on also. Recovery was a breeze and again, the team was fantastic. The hospital is clean and bright and very accommodating. We would use this hospital for future surgeries if needed and highly recommend.

My husband's overnight stay was nothing but exceptional. He has knee replacement surgery in outpatient center. Everyone was so courteous and professional. Our nurse there, I believe her name was Margie was so comforting. Anesthesia RN and student explained everything and were also reassuring. Our nurse Laurie and Brittany on Orthopedic floor were just fantastic. Anthony from Food service explained meal program and handled husbands request promptly. Rollie from PT got my husband up and moving and had great care This was our first experience at Blake. I can't tell you enough how impressed we were from volunteers at reception , to outpatient admission staff to the floor. A big thanks to all. We will choose Blake for any further medical needs.

Josh in the ER. Professional. In touch. Does a great job showing people he cares! Even told everyone to have a goodnight and checked out with everyone he was working with. Keep being you man. Blessings!

I stayed in the 3East Wing and I have to say the Nurses were AMAZING..I was there for twelve days and they were all very caring and supportive.. always very attentive.. I was right next to the nurse's station and no matter the shift or who was on they all had great camaraderie and team support..always. I truly believe their compassion helped in my recovery. I was very fortunate to end up in 3East wing and to have the team of nurses I had taking care of me.. the BEST

The start of my Thursday for neck surgery was very intense. Dr Michael King met with my wife and I and the staff were all introduced. Everyone from check in to recovery ❤‍🩹 room, were so professional and went above and beyond their jobs. I was so impressed with the care and level of care that EVERYONE displayed. There is something to say for a job well done. However the staff at HCA Florida Blake, Take it personal and much further than a job, but a way of life. Everyone is treated like a somebody, regardless of social status. My recovery ❤‍🩹 is going very well. I wouldn’t choose any other facility besides HCA Florida Blake for my medical needs. Life is returning to normal and I thank God for ALL the right people in the RIGHT place. Thank you to the staff at Blake for dedicating their lives to others.🫶🫶🫶

I have come to the hospital 3 times every signal time 8 out or 10 employees were the best. I can honestly say they are grate. BUT the last time I was in Laurie K. R.N. 4S was the best nurse she made my stay the beat and made me feel like I was the only patient and went above and beyond and will always be thankful.

I went to HCA Florida hospital in Sanford for a broken leg and they put rods in my leg 🦵 the staples came out on the side of my leg they cleaned out a small hole I had on the side of my leg took all the dead skin from around the hole I needed a flap put over the hole Dr westkoski a plastic surgeon in Bradenton Florida had to do the flap what a wonderful man I will recommend that hospital to anyone who needs sergery great people great doctors the best in Florida
