This property management went above and beyond to stay in communication with me during the approval process. Mary kept me updated and was prompt with her response when I had questions. She always answered her phone also. I look forward to building an awesome professional relationship with J & M Properties.

Not quite professional. Had an email and 2 different text threads happening with no updates along the way. Was told I ld receive a call after submitting an application and still no call.

Worst property management company ever. Rented an old house with old outdated cabinets, old toilets with stain, with different tiles in every room. Dishwasher was never used and was dirty when I moved. Closets in the garage were trash. Mary Skaggs didn’t want to hear me and hung up on me. Very disrespectful and unprofessional people. House kitchen was burned by previous tenant and ducts were dirty as hell. I was always sick. Left everything cleaned and got overcharged for “cleaning “. Be careful this company will find a way to keep your money. Mary Skaggs threatened me with a lawyer if I posted a review. Yes Mrs Mary you threatened me with a lawyer. Reviews are to guide customers take good choices. J & M Properties is the worst rental management company ever. Will never do business with them anymore. She texted me more than 10 times to get future tenants in the house even before I moved. Very unprofessional. Didn’t left me alone not even on weekends. Was coming late from work to let people in the house. Very unprofessional.

Don't go here. I was denied for too many people. 3 adults and 3 kids in a 3 bedroom. That is literally 2 people in each room. Next time, I will be lying on my applications. We've been homeless for over a year because of realtors absurd decisions.

The worst property management company EVER! Our last rental was for 7 years and had great references. We moved into this house, it was not cleaned and damage to the walls. Long story short, we put a couple thousand into the house and into the ridiculous landscaping over the 1 year we were there. Took 3 months to do repairs to our pool and we couldn’t use it. They would promise a discount off the rent and then took it back. When we moved out, they sent back half of the deposit because we didn’t use them to be our agent when we were buying a house and she was offended. They tried charging us for landscaping and fake repairs. They will even try to charge you for disinfecting the house. LOL. Who does that?!?! We left that house spotless and way cleaner than when we moved in because we knew from other reviews that they were going to play this game. Landscaping is NOT on the lease, only mowing the lawn and they tried to charge us for this when I had it in writing from her that she said to not worry about cutting the trees, weeding, mulching and other landscaping. This company is a joke. I should have known when before we moved in, Mary said “I can’t rent to you because you have a dog, how can I tell the owner that a service dog is like having a cane or wheelchair”? Yup!...she said that. I got a lawyer and she realized how dumb that was to text to me. We had to get a lawyer and threaten to go to court to get our deposit back. It took a week longer and a certified letter and we got it back. They will fight you but you need to understand your lease and just take them to court, they can’t keep doing this. Do not let them scam you like they have done to others and only communicate with her through email. She will ignore your calls to only text you, take what you can get as long as it is in writing because she WILL go back on her word and when you show her the screen shots, she will tell you “just move out, I will cancel your lease”. Google this company and find the common bad practices. I could go on for days with all of the crazy stuff they pulled. Do yourself a favor and skip over anything that this company rents.

SCAM!!!! Beware! Complete scam! Advertise the home and price then tell you that the price was old! And yet it still listed on their site at that price! They do anything to scam you! They never return your calls. Beware !!!

They asked for money upfront, before we would be allowed to even view the rental property to see if it would fit our needs. Sounds like every other scam trying to make some money off people. Beware.

Two things that she charged me out of my deposit a fee to sanitize the whole house, something that it's not in writing on the lease. The kitchen counter top was damaged when I moved in and she acuse me that I damaged it.
